ibis budget Rennes Route de Saint Malo

Very clean. Excellent breakfast.

Toilet too tight.

Convenient to the motorway

Small room and small bath towels. Everything very basic

Location was perfect, within 40 mins from St Malo Harbour for early morning ferry home.Easy to get too, well sign posted, continental breakfaat free from 6am

Confusion on our arrival, given key for room that was uncleaned. Though this was sorted promptly and another room issued.

LocationStaff helpful

Only 1 towel for 2 people!

We did not stay as...

When we arrived at the property in the carpark was a car that looked like it had been dumped as it was a total write off. Apart from the car park the rest of the hotel grounds were laterally covered with full washing lines all over the place. The access to the building was almost blocked by approximately 8 people sitting on the steps smocking and drinking. At this point we decided not to stay. Added to this the outside of the building looked tired and rundown nothing like the online picture.

Inexpensive and short walk into town to eat.

Breakfast area small and cramped.

easy to find , most staff conscientious

rooms not cleaned properly ,beds not made each day, no kettle, noise most nights till midnight from gym, air con poor and noisy

Good size family roomConvenient locationGood value for money

Bathroom was a bit grubby and could do with some updating

Easy access, nice all you can eat Chinese 5 mins from station.

No air con, but being budget that was understandable. Also access to the bunk bed is hard for older kids.

Not good

The room was not clean enough, a lot of hair in the bed and toilette. The bathroom was full of mold, hThe shower head is missing a joint, thus putting water everywhere. No boiler or free items in the room, but hot water accessible the reception.

It was a good stay. Comfortable, clean, friendly. The place was a bit far from the city and all the shops around the hotel were closed. It was a bit complicated to get there but the people were friendly and the room was ok. The staff spoke English very well and were very helpful.

It was a bit far from the city.

Everything you need for a quick pit stop, but not as basic as other hotel brands. There is no restaurant on site but there might be in the area. The receptionist that night was excellent. There’s a ramp and stairs to access the building and an lift inside. The room was clean, had air con and bed was amaizingly comfortable, better than many 4-5 star hotels I’ve been in. Interesting bathroom and shower configuration. Excellent value for money and perfect travel pit stop. Parking has a barrier so car is more or less secure. We had to leave early to catch the ferry so didn’t see breakfast area.

Could do with a power wash outside and pretty plants.

Handy for access to motorway

Very basic, but this is reflected in price

Clean, close to the main route to Saint Malo. Staff were very helpful
