Domaine Ribiera, Hotel 5 Etoiles, SPA & Golf - Forcalquier

Excellent facilities, beautiful setting and delightful pool. We were very well looked after by friendly and welcoming staff.

Though breakfast was basic on some Mediterranean or US standards - it was very much on the expected level of a a high-end French establishment - and was good, seemed fresh, tasty and satisfactory. Location is really great if you don't mind driving - as it's about a 1 hour drive both from the villages to the west (Gordes, Sault etc.) and from the lake to the east, and about 30 mins from the Lavender fields of Valensole.

We didn't use the spa, pool or golf, so I can't say anything about that. Basically everything was just good, honestly. *Maybe* the only thing I can think of was the restaurant menu - which was the same for the entire 4 nights we were there. Not that there was anything wrong with it :)

It was the most horrible breakfast I have ever experienced. Even the dinner was gorgeous and delicious at the restaurant of this hotel. But the omelette and scrambled eggs were like vomit.

Staff were amazing. Kind, knowledgable, great attitude, could not do enough to help. Area was quite beautiful, surrounding villages etc. Made us all and our dog extremely welcome. Super clean. Very few guests so pool practically to ourselves.

This hotel is still a building site and although I'm sure it will be fantastic when finished (and the bits that are were very pretty) it should be clear on the site when booking that this is the case. We had lovely room with incredible view of hills but as soon as you looked down to immediate space around the building site of the spa was very prominent and visible. This was not only place view was like this, pool area had wires hanging out of wall, steps in rough concrete and wood mid construction, toilet in pool area had exposed electrical wires. The hotel was really quite expensive for this condition. Opening a hotel to guests mid construction is completely understandable economically but this shoul Lr be clear at time of booking. We only stayed 2 nights in transit but had it been a more substantial part of our holiday I would have felt a bit upset.

The dinner that we had was amazing, the location is beautiful country side. You can just relax there.
