About
This traditional, rural hotel lies in the center of the charming village of La Alberca, in a beautiful natural park to the south of Salamanca. With bare stone walls and sturdy oak beams, the Doña Teresa is built in a an authentic rustic style. It enjoys a privileged position just 328 feet from the villages main square, surrounded by mountains and the famous Rock of France sanctuary. Much of this stunning local landscape can be viewed from the hotels terrace and from the large outdoor. Pros +
- Lovely hotel with nice rooms, helpful staff even though our Spanish is mediocre, and lovely breakfast. The town and surrounding countryside are stunning.
- Excellent location. Good breakfasts and very good value evening meals.Lovely friendly staff. Very clean premises.
- Very attractive but pricey stopover in this secluded village. (I understand it is much busier in season). Basic accommodation in a surprising colour scheme. The underground parking was a bonus, but not for a car much larger than mine. There was a coach party staying so I avoided dining in the hotel. Breakfast was excellent but extra.
Cons -
- Just a bit pricey. Asked for twin rooms and got doubles.
- The onsite parking is not suitable for a large car. There is free public parking across the road from the hotel. However, parking can be difficult to find in the village at weekends.
- The breakfast was very poor , basically bread and jam and a coffee. They advertise they have a spa but you have to drive to their other hotel to use the spa and the massages were expensive and not worth it.

Arrived to find hotel closed with no notification received. With some difficulty managed to find we had been transferred
We made a mistake in the reservation dares and staff managed to make the arrangements to change everything.
The location, the staff and the coziness of the hotel
It’s not that I didn’t like but Inwas expecting the pool to be in the hotel, having to drive to get there is not the most confortable thing and was not clear while booking.
location, beautiful place next to the city centre
the beds are very uncomfortable , my husband needed paracetamol for back pain after 1 night i also slept very bad.the air conditioning didn’t work the pool is located 1.5 km from property in a different hotel.rooms dated, hair dryer from 80s.this is definitely not a 4 start hotel
The position was close to the lovely village
Parking only available for small cars as low entrance and extremely narrow. we were loaded with suitcases and had to park in an open site up the road.
Beautiful building and location with comfortable beds. Great basecamp for exploring the area with easy parking access. Property looks historic but is a tasteful recreation nestled right outside of the town center.
Staff could have been more friendly, and I say this as a native level Spanish speaker. The room furniture/decoration hasn't been updated for some time, but let's be honest, you're there for the landscapes and food :)
The location and historical spirit
The staff could be more nice
Everything about this Hotel was first class in our opinion. Parking really handy and simple and all staff were very accommodating.
Nothing to dislike here.
