Hotel Wikingerhof

Super friendly staff. Great location. Excellent food.

Nothing. Everything was wonderful.

The breakfast was good. The hotel looks very nice. The front desk young lady was very nice as were the breakfast buffet staff. The shower was great! The walls are soundproof. Parking is free and close. There is a great German restaurant in the next town [Landgadthof moi].

The hotel is situated on a main through street. Because it does not have a/c, older hotels don't, you like to open the windows for the beautiful breeze. Unfortunately, the street car noise is loud for the front rooms, and even though the back part of the hotel has a lovely sitting area, the noise from guest dining and drinking is also quite loud for rooms in the back. And we were on the top floor. When the windows are closed, you can't hear anything. The room had glasses for water, but no bottled water was there. We apparently overpaid through Booking.com [about $200 a night]... way overpriced!

This is a very nice hotel in a charming small town, it has a good restaurant and an excellent breakfast and some very helpful and pleasant staff, be warned the portions are huge but delicious

We booked a double room sometime before arriving and we were given a small twin with strange built in beds and a disabled shower room, we went back to desk 4 times to see if we could be moved and there were no front house staff so we gave up and ask a waiter in the restaurant if we could get extra pillows,which never came, we went to the restaurant at seven and there was never any one on the front desk during the evening We had breakfast and went to pay there was a very pleasant girl and she tried to sort it out with the owner but she told us it was a mistake and we should have sorted it out the night before and was most unpleasant We paid a lot over the odds as the rooms were advertised much cheaper on the day than we paid We believe there were 2 large coach parties in and they got priority over us and we got what was left

Beautifully kept garden with giant koi goldfish. Cozy and new cabin. Hotel is popular with tour buses so we were able to grab dinner at the restaurant a bit later than their closing time.

No air conditioning. The beds are a little bit small. Could hear sounds outside the cabin easily. Tables were not set for breakfast and we had to find the staff to help us. But overall quite happy and would stay there again.

Members of our group were staying in the bungalow and in the hotel rooms. The space was rather small but for one night it was OK. Everything was clean.

During our stay in the hotel there was also a big organized group and at breakfast the staff could not keep up with the cleaning tables. They probably do not have enough people.

Very nice, kind and helpful staff, nice and cosy room, cleanliness was very good, and Kropp looks like to be a nice little town with all commodities. Very nice to stay over there, I'll do it again with no hesitation ... Thank you ! : )

The breakfast was excellent. I was in a newish Bungalow (Lodge nr 4) which was okay except for a narrow door into the bathroom, which is not good for big people. The restaurant is very good.

The WiFi was slow and I lost the connection several times.

The rooms were spacy and clean, but don't stay in a room facing the road as the road is making a lot of noise.

The breakfast options were from the last century. Basically no options for vegans. I did write a message to the hotel a couple of days before my arrival and asked for plant based oat or soy milk. That was not provided before the 2nd day. The options in the evening were even worse. The food was greasy and really not appealing.

Good ground floor room for disabled people. Nice breakfast. Very nice staff.

No comfy chairs in the room.

Had a great dinner and breakfast - both amazing. We had booked a small apartment and it didn't disappoint. Hotel was easy to find and plenty of parking.

Queit location, easy to find, easy to park car, great bier garten, friendly staff,super clean, good bed, excellent breakfast.

Disappointing

There was a party with extremely loud music till 2.30 at night which made it impossible to sleep!

The location is good but as it is in the middle of the village, it's not special in terms of view or anything like that. Staff was great - on the phone, in person, all good. The cottage is really nice and cozy but obviously the tradeoff is space - in general but especially the bed. I like the atmosphere, though. Breakfast was good and plenty. Long time since I had that many pancakes...

A bit small but I guess that was to be expected. No cappuccino for breakfast - maybe at the bar but this was not occupied as the staff was busy with other things.

Breakfast was excellent in quality and quantity of food on offer.Evening meal was very good and staff were very attentive and helpful.They also checked regularly during the meals to be sure we were satisfied with the service.

Found the coffee taste not to my liking, slightly bitter but this is a preference as opposed to a complaint.

Having stayed here before we knew exactly what to expect from the hotel, the restaurant and for breakfast. The hotel did not disappoint and was just what we needed in a location close to our destination.

Room a little bit dark, not very much light provided by the devices, just maybe change the bulbs for more powerful (?).
