Offering a herbal garden, terrace with stunning view and 10 EV-charging points, the family-run Kräuterhotel Villa Vontenie in Kordel enjoys an beautiful location. It offers free parking, free WiFi in all areas and a family athmosphere. All rooms at the hotel offer a private bathroom that comes with a shower. A terrace with magnificent view is available for breakfast and dinner. Guests can enjoy the freshly cooked meals made with fresh herbs served at the property (reservation is advance needed). The hotel is beside Ramstein Castle. Cycling and hiking routes begin at the hotel and offer a chance to explore the picturesque surrounding countryside. Alternatively, the historical town of Trier makes for a pleasant excursion and can be reached in 25 minutes by car. The Kordel Train Station is 1.9 mi away and from there it is just a 13-minute rail journey to the Trier Main Station. The A64 motorway is located within 6.2 mi of Kräuterhotel Villa Vontenie.

- This is a very nice hotel in a beautiful and peaceful setting, perfect for hiking and exploring the surrounding nature. The road leading to the hotel is a bit narrow and bumpy, but its absolutely worth the drive. The hotel manager was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was decent and satisfying. Also, its conveniently close to Trier, which makes it a great base for visiting the city.

- We loved the location. You can hike to Roman ruins right outside the property.
Cons -
- The warmer in the bathroom not working
- However the philosophy of the hotel owner is self-service. In other words, it was very likely a self-service for making up your own room (no cleaning during the stay), the table for breakfast was not prepared and similar. For the price we have paid, it was not appropriate and we have been very surprised as there are no comments on the Booking page.
