- The double bed was fine for size but much too soft for my liking. Would have liked an on-site dining option, but there were good restaurants nearby.

Lack of air conditioning.
Very nice hotel, clean, comfortable, located in a quite area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a swimming pool and a cozy terrace to sit outside and enjoy a drink.

Location. Clean rooms and delicious petit dejeuner.
Location
Very cramped and small room, very basic standard of accommodation , no air con and fan inadequate.
Scenic location in the midst of working vineyards and wineries and within walking distance (10 mins) of Julienas itself. Clean, comfortable, especially the beds and bedlinen, and very good self service breakfast. What sets it apart in particular are the owners for whom no request is too much. There are a number of good restaurants nearby for dinner - it pays to books these in advance.Highly recommended.
The location is amazing. Very tranquil amongst the vineyards of Beaujolais. Lovely building and gardens (with small pool), wonderful couple who run it and great breakfast. Only slight downside was we arrived late and there is no restaurant but the helpful man who runs the hotel arranged for us to go to a nearby restaurant for dinner. Overall it was great and I was sad we weren't staying for longer. Would recommend and I'd love to go back.
A restaurant would have been useful plus the rooms were clean but simple.
Convenience. Pool.
Lack of air-con in the bedroom.
Within easy walking distance of the village. Rooms are on the small side, but are comfortable and clean. Nice little pool which was perfect for a quick dip at the end of a hot day. Lovely breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. Great little spot for a couple of nights.
Good location close to a small village 10 min off the A6 highway. Rooms are clean, breakfast is sufficient.
Rooms are outdated. Property owner is used to senior guests. I’m not a trouble maker but I couldn’t walk bare feet, kids are not allowed to play in the garden. And although there is no lunch served, you can’t eat your own food on their terrace.. Now you think you will be a serious senior, doing nothing at the pool. No wait, sir starts to mow his hedge with a very noisy mower..
Manager was very helpful - it was a last minute booking and reception hours were extended to enable us to arrive later than normal check in hours.
Stay would have improved for me if there was freshly brewed coffee for breakfast (hot drinks are from a machine) but other than that breakfast provision was excellent.
Very clean, excellent breakfast. Not too far from a brace of good restaurants (800 metres and easily walked to). Proprietor willing to make booking on our behalf.
No restaurant (apparently it's too much trouble) and a very cold swimming pool. Beds too soft, had to put cushions under the mattress at the sides to be able to use the full width of the bed.
The hotel is located on the side of a hill with beautiful views across the countryside. the sunrise was a magnificent sight. A local winemaker offered an evening wine tasting and it was great to taste wine in the garden setting.
The swimming pool entrance gate was locked by the time i wanted to go for a swim.
Friendly owners and really good spot.
Would have liked a restaurant on place but also knew that wasn’t available but didn’t put us off at all
Pretty hotel in the French countryside.
We arrived after a five hour drive from Calais but hadn’t thought to book ahead somewhere in the village to eat. Being August, everything was fully booked and no food available anywhere. The only option was another 10km drive to Macon. There was a bar in the hotel but no food available.
The location was excellent. The pool was small but very welcome
the rooms were too hot and sleep was difficult
Helpful owner who managed to find us a restaurant when nearest were all booked. Lovely pool and opportunity for wine tasting on site.
Couldn't check in until 4pm
an absolutely wonderful place surrounded by vineyards and beautiful scenery. the couple running the hotel were the most helpful and they put extra care into welcoming our children even though we may not have been their typical guests (most were older couples without kids).
there won’t nothing to not like
In a nice quiet location on the edge of the village, set amongst the vineyards and with lovely gardens. Breakfast was very good.
If the hotel had a restaurant, it would be perfect.
