    Pros +

    • Unpleasant stay, not recommend , not come back again
    • The location is lovely but very rural , the hotel is unlike one we have stayed in before. It’s was very comfortable and the food was good. Breakfast was very good value. The owners seem a bit eccentric but friendly enough and helpful. It’s pet friendly and we were made to feel very welcome.
    • Beautiful country house hotel. I was greeted with warmth and the room was immaculate. I wish I had more time and could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

    Cons -

    • Pictures in booking.com are so fascinating but when you arrive it’s disappointing; the entrance, the bar, lobby, stairs not clean not beautifulGarden not nice at allThe man in the front desk not polite and hospitable The room was not the same as I had booked
    • The towels and dressing gowns could be upgraded.
    • Bad internet connection, but you won’t search it in a such place.

I was thinking if I share my good review and the place will be always fool because of that… a bit jealousy and selfish you know ) We loved our stay here, which unfortunately was only for one night. Easy to reach thanks to comfortable forest road and private parking space. Although the hospitality at the first sight can seem strange and not very welcoming, it is not so. The gentleman Santi will love to introduce you the variety of food and drinks and tell the story of this lovely house. The food was delicious and we recommend you to try the local cider with cheese. The big room with the real ancient chimney made our stay with my wife even more romantic. Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to use the jacuzzi in the room, it looked lovely though.

Bad internet connection, but you won’t search it in a such place.

Great place for a stop over. Basque decor, I think it’s quirky! Rooms are clean, quite place to park up etc.

The location is beautiful, isolated in the mountains but very close to a village. The house’s decor in general made the place very cozy. The lovely patio, overlooking the mountains, is perfect for a meal. We had a fantastic lunch there, in the patio: the food was great; the location and the soft jazz music playing made the experience unbearable. We loved it. The room was cozy, charming, and comfortable. And the owners were very accommodating and friendly. We just had a perfect stay and would love to come back.

The location in the middle of the forest, quite calm

The towels and bed sheets pretty old

Beautiful hotel with lovely wooden beams. The bedroom was an ample size. The bed was so warm and comfortable. Unfortunately it was taking when we arrived and dark so didn’t get to see the grounds

    Absolutely nothing

Beautiful location and bed was very comfortable.

Broken glass on floor next to the bed when we arrived. Coffee spill on floor and bedding still damp. Hot in the night but batteries were dead in air con control, so it would not come on. I reported everything to the owner but the response was just OK!

The location, the beautiful surroundings. The staff, the shower, the food, the wine. The value for money.

Location in the hills. Private but isolated. Welcoming atmosphere and hosts. Walks right out the door. Main appeal being its unique character. It’s really quirky- in a good way. A hidden gem for those of us who seek and cherish the out of the ordinary. Not your generic establishment. V welcoming of pets. The food was absolutely delicious and surprising.

lovely place to relax, very friendly staff and great breakfast. Also pet friendly

    nothing, everything was good

    Comfortable bed

Not at all as expected or depicted in photos. Everywhere in desperate need of tlc including the gardens. Staff hygiene leaves a lot to be desired. Vastly overpriced.

Great stay just a shame the costs for the meal which meant I left with a sour taste

We were charged 2 x €30 for two meals when I clearly stated we wanted the €12 meals. I would not eat at this hotel again apart from that though it was lovely.I did inform the owner that they need to make it clearer and show both menus €12 & €30 options to people who don’t speak Spanish

    Beautiful location and quirky bedrooms

The gardens felt a little uncared for

    9KristianPosted on: 8-1-2024

Nice quirky little hotel with very friendly and welcoming hosts.

Some of the rooms are a bit quirky so probably best to look elsewhere if that is not your thing.

Perfect place to rest and relax your mind. Very nice service, very good food. Nice, clean and spacious rooms. Large and safe parking.

We have been here several times and we enjoy the simple and quiet atmosphere. Friendly owners.

    9AlanPosted on: 4-26-2024

Nice views and proximity to trails. The owners put much effort into details of the hotel and helped advise us on activities nearby and alternates due to weather changes. The dining was good and service was very attentive.

We liked it all. Maybe bathroom ventilation for humidity could be a remodel topic noting that this is a very historic building.
