We didn't stay because the pool was closed and we were not told. We asked for a refund because we wouldn't have booked if the pool was closed. Our room was very sparse but clean. We asked for a double room and it was a triple so limited space and only one chair ,which gave in when my husband sat in it. We were promised a refund but after asking several times and bring told the owner was away ....five weeks later no reply and no refund. The guy in reception was polite and friendly. Disappointing. . Also to walk into the village or anywhere, you have to walk on a very fast and dangerous road which I felt was misleading.

I really enjoyed staying in Hotel Rural Los Jarales, we were there off season, the place was quiet and peacuful. This is what we were looking for. Short walk to the nearest town Istan. Much appreciated for having us!

Bad

Bedbugs. Sent them a message on Booking and via WhatsApp about this but they don't make an effort to respond. Lobby smelled like catpiss. Didn't get any toiletpaper. Had to get the last scraps of paper from the dirty toilets in the lobby.

Very nice hotel in fantastic location. Staff very kind. Driving, views are amazing.

Sadly the pools were not in working conditions, and we were not told about it until check in.

Incredible views from room, hotel etc. Nice old building with pool and sauna/hot tub with a view.

Nothing really. Unfortunately the sauna/spa area was fully booked one evening. As it was quiet period in January the restaurant was shut and sometimes only one restaurant open in Istan on Sunday. Sauna area costs 10Euro for one hour FYI.

It all seems a bit neglected which is really sad to see as it is a beautiful building with endless potential. The spa area / jacuzzi was closed. When we arrived there were used cups and a full ashtray on the table in front of the reception which were there till the next morning. Similar to the breakfast/restaurant area which had dirty tables when we arrived and during breakfast the following day. Maybe it was because of the weekend? As It seemed a bit better the following morning

Nice location near to the typical town of Istan. Nice stylish rooms. Very clean.

The breakfast included on the price was very basic. Same sandwich and paté every morning. Coffee was good

Good rooms and pool. Breakfast was lovely. The one dinner we had on site was great.

The restaurant was closed two nights out of the three we were there. All the loungers around the pool were broken and there weren't enough for all the guests.

If you're looking to get away and relax this hotel is perfect. The views are stunning and it's peaceful. If you want somewhere with all mod cons then this isn't it but what you get for the price is something else. The village of Istan is not far and walkable for decent eating options. It was my second visit and I would definitely come back for a third. You need a car.

I accept it's basic and good value but it would be great to update the pool furniture...

Lovely hotel but restaurant not open meaning a drive in to town. Would have loved to have had a food option on site. Breakfast wasn’t great but adequate.

Beautiful location with stunning views. Our breakfast and evening meal were delicious. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool.

Not a dislike and didn’t affect us, but you need a car if you’re staying here.

Rustic, simple, Cosy, wonderful views, excellent staff

Location with mountain view was perfect, close to the hiking trails. Room was nice and comfortable with the air conditioning. Pool was refreshing on a hot weather. Personnel were frienly and there were a nice cat on the house.

There were no lunch or dinner available on the hotel, and that was a bit of an issue, since Istan didn't have many other options available either. Other guests were smoking around the property, and some point the smoke kept coming to the room, if windows were open. Suggestion to the hotel is to advice guests to smoke on designated areat to keep property clean and comfortable to non-smoking guests as well.

Beautiful location, fabulous views.

12km. drive from the main road - very twisty winding road. You need to drive slowly & with great care. Lots of cyclists on the road & local drivers frequently pass out at speed.

A very rustic hotel with great decoration in a fantastic location.

It's just an observation as there was nothing that I disliked but a vending machine offering cold drinks and snacks would be great to have at the hotel ..sometimes a little snack or refreshments is nice during the night.
