Hotel Schlee

We enjoyed the continental breakfast very much.

Since we don't speak fluent German, it took us a few moments to realize the reception desk was also in the restaurant. Not a bad thing, just acclimation.It was a challenge to make sure everything flushed all the way. Not the facility's fault, we just had a harder time.

Nuruldin in the breakfast was very helpful and always smiling.

Staff was very nice and the location is perfect to reach Munich by train.

The pillows were very bad and the breakfast very basic. It would be nice to have some more options, fresh fruit, etc. The coffee was however very good and the staff very nice

The restaurant choices

Booking and this hotel should make clear that separate beds are no longer available when those rooms are booked and not have hotel send a message that they will arrange that upon arrival if still available. As friends we ended up in room 28 across from the station where trains run until deep in the night, changing to room 30, above the kitchen, were two children’s beds, the room number seemed to match the temperature, so opened windows but below the window personnel was smoking and talking loud. Peeking into someone else’s room in the morning, those rooms were updated, had separate matrassen which would have suited us, and room was cool and matched the picture of the room we booked. I hope that booking and hotel Schlee find a better solution than this not-ever again situation. For the amount we paid this was not what one can expect.

Hote Schlee is situated near a train crossing with a bell.

The restaurant is run by Italians and they also take care of the breakfast so the coffee in the morning was amazing!! Real cappuccino like in Italy, this is really rare in German Hotels.In the evening we only had a drink at the restaurant but the staff was very friendly.Maybe it was just good luck, but the mattress was neither too hard nor too soft.

It is a small hotel above an Italien restaurant. The room was nice and comfortable. Despite being right at the train station we couldn’t really hear any noise. We had pizza in the restaurant and it was tasty for good price. Overall the staff was very nice and friendly, especially at breakfast.

The Wi-Fi in the room was quite weak, probably being a corner room at the end of the hall. Breakfast choice could have been better, however the bread was really good and fresh and we loved the Italian fruit juices and freshly made coffee.

The heating system didn't manage to heat the room according to the needs.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and fairly quiet. Breakfast was cozy buffet-style, with coffee at the bar included in the price. Free parking on-site was a big plus. Hohenschäftlarn train stop is right across the street, so you can get to donwtown Munich pretty easily.

Poor Wi-Fi signal or no Internet access for hours on end. The central heating was mostly off during the day, so it was chilly—however, there is an additional electric space heater which can help with that.

The location is perfect to visit Munich by train. The staff is friendly.

Furnishings were simple, the bathroom outdated, small, and cold. Worse, however: the toilet lid, which was way too small for the toilet - a really unpleasant experience! Also: no rolls at breakfast - supposedly an exception, but other reviews show the opposite. Unfortunately, the (friendly) employee at the check out was only able to pass on our complaint. To a subsequent mail, there has not been a response. Conclusion: most expensive hotel of our Bavaria "road trip", but also by far the most disappointing!

same as our last visit here:absolutely amazing and surprising hotel and extreme friendly staff:+ fast and friendly check-in+ totally refurbished building, everything extremly clean+ very tasteful and elegant decor, furniture and equipment+ very clean and spacious room and enough space to stay overnight comfortabel with wide beds together with our pets+ spacious private car parking free of charge+ rooms towards backside are quite quiet+ lot of flowers and green areas around create a very peacful and relaxing athmosphere+ interesting dinner menu with local and international food+ huge selection of food for breakfast+ near to the highway/ public railway (S-Bahn) opposite of the hotel, just across over the street+ excellent dining in the hotel restaurant
