The owner was very kind and friendly. The breakfast and the breakfast hall was superb. There was a common area where we could relax in the evening before going to the room. The room was nicely decorated and very good size.

No elevator.

The room was kept spotless and clean with towels changed daily . Guest mini bar was handy and use of garage for our motorbikes was perfect

Bar, restaurant and reception not open for most of our stay, apparently not open Sunday evening till Wednesday morning

The restaurant was closed for 2 (Mon and Tues) of the 3 nights I was there. This was not clear when I booked. Fortunately, there was another hotel within short walking distance, where I could eatGarage for my motorbike.

There was no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee.

Everything was top notch and they even had a garage for the motorcycle which they offered on their own as it was raining heavily at no cost whatsoever.Breakfast was great while the restaurant was open for lunch and dinner as well. A perfect stop to catch a breather and rest.

The breakfast is truly amazing, there is so much choice it is unbelievable. This is the best breakfast I have seen and eaten in any hotel I have stayed at in my whole life. The restaurant is immaculate as are the evening meals, very tasty. A family run hotel, in the evening you are served by ladies in traditional Black Forest attire, which makes a very pleasant experience.We also had garage parking for our motorcycles. I can sincerely highly recommend this hotel. the friendly family make you very welcome.

Everything was perfect.

A very nice, clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast and great restaurant. Great location for hikes. Thanks a lot to the very friendly team of the hotel. We stayed for a New Year eve and received a nice gifts in the morning.

Would be nice to have a kettle in the room. There is also just two power sockets in the room, which is tiny bit complicated for people with many gadgets :)

Lovely hotel in a great location to explore the Black Forest. It is easy to find with ample free parking. We were able to park our motorcycles in the garage on the 1st but it was full the second night. The staff are lovely and we were pleased to find that Dragos was still here as we enjoyed sharing stories of our adventures on our previous stay. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, and well appointed. The food is excellent, good value and there is lots of choice including some regional specialities.

A really lovely guesthouse. Great value for money. Fantastic breakfast and really welcoming staff. I ate dinner in the restaurant on the second night - lovely food. Really good beer. Great place to stay for touring Schwarzwald. All food locally produced. Homemade apple pie for breakfast - delicious. Huge room, spotlessly clean, well equipped.Great little lounge with an honesty bar.

Very friendly staff and the rooms were very clean. Plenty of parking and a delicious extensive breakfast.

The morning staff were rude and gave me a lecture about dinner reservations which i hadnt made.The hotel doesnt cater for Gluten or Lactose free intolerance'sRooms very outdated

Very warm welcome, always friendly and helpful, excellent location (right on top of a hill - nice view), spacious rooms, very good restaurant with local dishes and excellent service.

We cannot think of anything that is not good: every question we had was answered immediately.

Aggressive Owner

The owners. There was a miscommunication regarding food when we arrived. This did not go down well and the female with black hair was very aggressive towards the majority of our group the next morning. Wholly unacceptable.The pillows are completely pointless, they offer zero support and the breakfast wasn't edible. A member of the group asked for toast, the owner wasn't happy.

Excellent hotel and the family that runs the hotel are superb to stay with - they really care about the customer experience. The food was excellent - quite honestly the best food we both ate during our holiday in Germany - the hotel excelled in the restaurant.

Room was a little warm would have been nice to have a fan in the room however we managed ok.

We decided to stay here very spontaneously but we are glad that we did.The room was exactly as pictured and very spacious. Everything was clean! We also enjoyed the balcony.The entire hotel is decorated beautifully and very thought through! You find nice little details all around the place.We also decided to have dinner in the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious!! Service was excellent and attentive.The food was cooked to perfection and the Manager made sure we had the best time.Breakfast in the morning was fresh and offered a wide range of local products. Everything a decent German breakfast should offer was available! Eggs were freshly made in the morning to your liking. Coffee, tea, juice, water everything was available.Service in general was outstanding and very welcoming.
