Hotel Schloss Hornberg

Hotel was amazing. Great experience.

Dinner menu was limited for children. However this did not hinder our trip. Great breakfast buffet.

It was a nice and cozy place with a beautiful restaurant and plenty of space around with a medieval castle and tower. The room was complete and the hotel have an amazing service.

The place is full with carpets and, despite we knew, it is not deeply cleaned but we should have expected it. Apart from that, the hotel and room were clean and nice. The tv was a bit small

The kids thought the sofa bed was too hard and would prefer bunk beds.

The restaurant only had cold food, as the menu was shorter that day. So we went out for food.

The property was a charming building in a beautiful setting, with absolutely stunning views. The rooms were very pleasant. Bathrooms were clean and modern, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the German duvets. The dining room was gorgeous, with delicious dinner menu and breakfast buffet. The owner and all staff were friendly, accommodating, and just very nice people all around. I highly recommend this hotel.

Restaurant was meh and the WiFi very spotty.

Idyllic location on the berg overlooking the small town of Hornberg. We have stayed here five or six times previously and it always feels like coming home, as the entire staff is so friendly and helpful. All requests are always fulfilled with a smile. Breakfast, in the beautifully windowed dining room, is a feast and the ability to make your own waffles is a tasty bonus. The immediate area offers great trails to hike up or down the mountain.

An elevator would be nice, but not necessary. Hornberg town itself, needs more restaurants.

The serving staff were all so lovely. Friendly, helpful and efficient. Beautiful location.

There weren't enough parking spaces. That's not the fault of the hotel. It's just how it is.

The staff were delightful and extremely accommodating. I was able to store my bike in one of the cupboards overnight. The food was delicious.

Dinner was excellent, location was great, staff was very friendly. We loved our stay here! It was a bonus that we could hike up the castle and also go inside! It felt very peaceful and cozy yet so close to everything by car.

My only complaints are that there was no coffee maker in the room and it said breakfast was included on the booking website I used. Besides that, everything was great!!

Great location

No lift and it's 3 fhigh floors, rooms don't have any fans or air conditioning,, the linen was not clean.

Very nice hotel in a great location in the middle of the Black Forest. Very nice staff on the front desk and a good breakfast.

Avoid at all costs being served by a blond young lady if you are having dinner at the property. Bear in mind that we were informed by the front desk that the last time for ordering food was 20:30h.The waitress kept coming to the table every 5 minutes to ask if we were ready to order food even when we had just said no (there were menus in German and English, none is our first language so we needed some time to translate a few words in order to decide what to order) and she kept looking at her watch with a very annoyed face (as they were about to close, but it was 19:45, we still had plenty of time...)Felt totally uncomfortable by her pressure and it was not even close to the "last order" time.

Fabulous hilltop location. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet good. Food in the restaurant (evening meal) was excellent and good value for money. Highly recommended as a place to stay in the Black Forest.

Its a great experience. Cool old house/Hotel. Great views and amazing outdoor restaurant including the historic buildings around the Hotel

Wish I had a longer stay.

The family room is much smaller than we had in the past. Especially the bathroom, which is too small for even one person. I even hurt my arm on knocking on the door opening handel

An amazing location with stunning views of the valley below. We loved the romantic & historic feel of the Schloss. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, as was the generous & tasty buffet breakfast. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

Noise from other rooms. Especially upstairs. Room ok, but a bit old

The hotel is located on a hill, so there’s a nice view. Breakfast was good, the room was spacious and clean.

The bathtub was clogged and the water wouldn't drain, which was unpleasant.
