Hotel Silicium

Lovely hotel for those travelling for work. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of foods and staff are very accommodating when you have food allergies. The room is kept clean, but you can also cancel room service if you wish.

The wifi could've been more stable, it was difficult to stay in a video call sometimes.

The room was spacious and clean. Nice bathroom with a good hairdryer. The restaurant is also nice, good options.

We didn't like the breakfast. It's very basic, not even at some point. Most of the options were empty and when we asked the personal, they just said ok but didn't refill. We asked them to make an omelette(extra pay) for our baby and they said no. The only good thing was the bread.

We are vegan and they very kindly got us oat milk and a whole platter of vegan options for breakfast! Many thanks, we loved it ?Also, the Westerwald Arcaden (shopping centre) is basically opposite - fabulous if you need something (like allergy tablets from the pharmacy! ..or 90% chocolate..) ?

Disappointing

I must say I was quite disappointed due to a small but irritating reason: although there was a clean and satisfactory place to stay overnight on the road, the drinking water in the room was charged, and the bar price was exorbitant, three times the room price (I was forced to pay 6 euros just for a 0.75 liters of water).

Clean, modern facilities. Pet friendly. Plenty of parking space.

Limited choice for breakfast items (i.e. no bacon, no possibility to order fried eggs or omelet). Scrambled eggs were dry and cold.

Dinner choices

1. We were supposed to get a king size bed but instead we got two beds next to one another. 2. It was way too hot in the room at night and we almost passed out because of the extreme heat. 3. Breakfast wasn't what we'd expected 4. Not enough waitresses to assist all the people who were dining it seemed we waited for a long time to get dessert but after a 20 minute wait we decided to cancel it.

Thin small pillows and hard mattress. Unfortunately we had a significant neck and back pain in the morning, even my 10 years old son had pain in his back for the very first time in his life.The breakfast was basic, not much choice.

Room was good and modern with desk to work. Nice food is served at the restaurant and staff was friendly.
