We had a great stay here. The auberge is lovely, the staff super helpful, and our dog was made welcome. We had dinner too and it was delicious. This was our second stay here and we would definitely return
A great little hideaway just off the motorway while travelling through to the ferry in Rotterdam. Free parking peaceful and quaint. . A beautiful bathroom in comfort room with a full size bath which is very hard to find in Europe.
No bar in the hotel was our only problem but staff brought us drinks when requested.
Very good food, friendly staff. Location is great. Enough parking.

Homely atmosphere in the cafe restaurant area. Friendly staff, and a delis ious dinner.
excellent restaurant - expensive but very good
narrow steps tp higher floors, no elevator
Beautiful hotel on the exact border of Belgium and Luxembourg. It's two buildings next to each other, so if you're unlucky (as we were) and arrive in driving rain at the door of one to find it closed, you'll have to go next door, only to be told your room is in the building you just came from and be given an access code. However, our room was spacious and quiet. There's an excellent though pricey restaurant, and a simpler brasserie. Best thing about the hotel for us cheapskate Dutch: just around the corner there's a petrol station where you can fill up on cheap Luxembourg gas.
When I made the reservation for the restaurant for 18:30 this was accepted without comment; we were not told it did not open until 19:00. The beds in room 10 (Auberge) could have been better: very low, and sagged a bit.
Very helpful staff. Great location with nice garden part across the street. two different restaurant options. We ate at the auberge restaurant and the food was excellent.
NA
Very good locationNice outside / garden Very kind staff Ok breakfast, not too much choice but good taste
No curtains that make the room dark. So very difficult to get my kids to sleep No airco or fan Our room was on street side so opening the windows for the heat lead to lots of noise all night
The location was perfect, situated exactly on the Belgium-Luxemburg border and nestled in the forest, making it a very quiet and peaceful place. The restaurant was quite good, offering a delightful dining experience. Breakfast was also excellent with a wide variety of pastries and other items to choose from. The room, although not overly spacious, was adequately sized for a comfortable stay. Additionally, the large free parking area was very convenient for guests traveling by car.
There was no air conditioning in the room, which could be uncomfortable during warmer weather. The bathroom was extremely small, which made it less comfortable to use. While the cleanliness of the room was generally okay, there was room for improvement—I found a used toothbrush cap on the bathroom cabinet, which was off-putting. The steep stairs in the hotel are not suitable for people with disabilities, which could be a significant drawback for some guests. Despite these issues, the hotel is a good option for a short stay, especially if you are on a road trip and need a quiet place to rest.
Lovely garden and views, in a quiet location was breakfast was excellent.
Room was on the small size and restaurants were very pricey.
Great location, spotless room and dinner was exceptional
Lovely grounds, plenty of parking just across the road. Food was very nice, breakfast had plenty of choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Narrow stairs to the rooms.
We chose to stay in this location due to its proximity to Luxembourg. We really enjoyed exploring the countryside and several castles as well as Luxembourg city during our 3-day stay. Our room and ensuite bathroom were both very clean and comfortable. The staff that we met were lovely, and the breakfast that was served was varied and plentiful.
The location of Auberge de la Gaichel is on the junction of a busy road, so would recommend requesting a room in the back (overlooking the grounds).
The room, the comfort and the breakfast.
The room was very good. Traditional and spacious. The view was amazing. The staff very helpful and the breakfast delicious.
The restaurant was a little overpriced
Excellent location. Good size bedroom and bathroom, extensive gardens for playing with the dog.
We would have liked coffee/tea making facilities in the room in view of the price. Expensive restaurant but excellent food.
Beautiful grounds. Good coffee. Comfortable bed.
Very steep stairs to our attic bedroom. WiFi didn’t reach to the top floor.
