Pros +
- Very pleasant experience in a very picturesque area. The rooms are cozy and quiet, and the view from the balcony was outstanding! As we headed to the Camino de Hierro early in the morning, the host prepared breakfast for us to take with us. Would stay again!
- A wonderful location by the river Duero / Duro with vultures flying overhead from their roosts on the cliffs that can be seen from the hotel. The hotel cats were very friendly, as was the owner / manager.
- Absolutely magical place! The views are stunning, the whole building and the garden have a unique ambiance and the food, both breakfasts and dinners are both filling and delicious. Even in the summer heat the room and the garden are relaxing and keep a cool temperature. It's an amazing place to escape to as well as visit the gorgeous lookouts towards the river Duero valley.
Cons -
- Dinner was a bit of a disappointment, and served at the usual Spanish time of 20:30, which is too late for most nationalities. And as it is quite a drive to the nearest town and restaurant, one is somewhat dependent on dinner here.
- Solid deep-cleaning of the room would totally bring the place to 10/10.
- Hotel sent link for boat trip but did not show up even though we got confirmation from boat company .Tried calling hotel whilst waiting but hung up .Told it was cancelled when we complained in morning but no one told us so waited over 1 hour in the hot sun .Basic room with no noise insulation but good value for the price .

AMBIENCE AND VIEW .nice diinner and breakfast not typical buffet found on most places .Dinner was 4 course at 20e and tasty .Shower was strong albeit inside bath so not ideal for elderly .Friendly receptionist doubling as waiter who also promptly fixed our door .

Remote but tranquil, fabulous views, and fantastic displays from eagles and vultures in the valley.Pools are a great asset and needed as it was hot in the valley.Menu was an experience each day in local delicacies, great to try unheard of food
Lovely rural location with wonderful view, comfy bed, welcoming host and amazing breakfast
The view was spectacular and so was the dinner and breakfast service.
Bigger TV in the bedroom that is in english.
The kind attention of the staff who are always available to help, inform about the region and asking if everything is ok
Excelente trato, ambiente, entorno y desayuno
The location is absolutely perfect, The hospitality from the owners was so great, You can see their passion for hosting and welcome to their little kingdom, This place is a magical place, and the value for money is so high, I really recommend visiting this hotel even if you need to go out of your planned route. One of my best experiences
Is really far from any other places, it means you have to consider there are no other restaurants, so you have to take the dinner at the hotel.
The food is excellent, the breakfast and dinner are big on quantity and exceptionally well made.
nothing at all
Location, the manager, the quite.
Diner is vers late. Beter start at 20 hours. Breakfast for the travelers of Camino de Hierro is too late. Beter at 7hours (It is a too goed breakfast to eat in a hurry).
Hidden away but had everything you would need. Great value and dinners excellent.
Beds only doubles
The amazing view at the Portuguese border, the meals served by the property owner, the details of the decoration both inside and outside
No real remarks.
Everything. The staff is amazingly welcome and friendly, Manuel is a great host (everyone is, but we spoke nore with him, even at dinner and breakfast). Everything very clean, food is amazing! And the place is beautiful!
Vacations could have last more time :(
very good location in the Duero Vally on the Spanish, friendly welcome clean and quiet rooms, very good dinner and very reach breakfast, nice view . I suggest this hotel , nothing was wrong !
It was beyond our expectations, love the fact the was dawn when we arrived and there was soft "fado" music playing. the perfect picture!! Loved every moment form the music to the decorations and the gentleman from the staff. We strongly recommend eating here, the dinner was amazing, for me personally there is nothing better than to sit down and don't have to choose from a endless menu list. jus trust the chef. My wife doesn't like fish and even that was not a problem the chef was kind enough to make a special vegetable dish. Top rating for that small attention.
We didn't like the fact that we were only here for one night.... there was so much to see...
What a fabulous location viewing the river dividing Spain & Portugal. Lovely pool, lots of fabulous outdoor spaces & indoor seating. Balcony was great too. Food was delicious & lovingly prepared, excellent value. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. The gin & tonics ?
Nothing at all
Spectacular views from our room terrace, delicious breakfast (I loved the cheese spreads), lovely areas in and around the hotel to sit and enjoy the views.
I prefer to have my main meal of the day at lunchtime, I don't eat much breakfast or dinner, but the hotel does not offer anything to eat during the day so I had to change my eating habits quite a bit, and as a result I over ate and felt heavy most of the time. The food was delicious though. I anticipated there being a bar fridge in the room but sadly there was not.
Nice location with friendly staff, nice swimming pool with a view. Ideal to relax and unwind. Location is great for excursions and hiking. Breakfast is outstanding.
Rooms are a bit basic. But functional. There are no other places nearby so you have no other options for lunch and dinner unless you are willing to drive far.
