Hotel an der Burg

A very simple hotel but the breakfast room is really nicely decorated and breakfast is very good.

The rooms lack a bit of personality.

We have been here several times. Perfect location under the castle (very picturesque, worth a visit - free entry). Everything was perfect, friendly service, dog-friendly, perfect breakfast. No problem parking.We only missed the kitchen a little, but we solved that with the local pizzeria.We will definitely come back again sometime.

The location, right below the extensive castle, on top of a steep mound, as part of an old village, is exceptional.The staff is vey efficient and friendly. The breakfast was great: real scrambled eggs!

The bed had seen better days. The towels were clean but worn.

Nice medium size hotel in a small village at the top of a hill against an old castle. Adjacent parking in a quiet area. Good size room with good size bathroom. Excellent breakfaswith rich choice of food. Good value.

Clean, comfortable and a good breakfast. Good value for money. Parking on site and close to major motorway networks.

I am not a big fan of carpeted floors. But it did not bother me.

Clean and spacious room with pleasent view from the window. Check-in was organised very well as we arrived after official closing time. Breakfast options were good and the dining room was stylish.

Two single beds pushed together does not make a queen size bed. Pillows could be better.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast had an excellent selection of choiced in a really pleasant atmosphere with attentive staff. The burg, just a short walk away, was a lovely place for beer and flatbread one night and a more refined meal the second night. (And beautiful views too.) This was a lovely base for visiting friends in the area north of Giessen.

Hotel an Der Burg is located in a a quite part of the Town. I used public transport to go to and from the hotel and the bus stop was just a 2 minute walk away .The room, in fact the whole hotel, was clean, tidy and warm. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and powerful.The breakfast had good choice and the staff were helpful and friendly. On the day I left, I had to leave early for the airport so I had to miss breakfast and they kindly allowed me to take some food for a "packed lunch".

The location was perfect! The hotel staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make sure we had a great stay. The rooms were clean and we felt safe. The breakfast was delightful and everyone was friendly. Look forward to staying there again.

Very nice guesthouse, friendly staff, beautiful views around.

We were very disappointed that the restaurant did not work. It is very difficult to find a place to eat nearby. There was not enough hot food for breakfast.
