Hotel Duwakschopp

The front of the building was quaint and old world. Just like all of the other black forest – type buildings in the area. The rooms and bathrooms were immaculate, and the breakfast was nice.

The day’s temperature was very hot, and the rooms had no air conditioning nor fans. As Americans, we are not used to that, and we didn’t know we could ask for a fan at the front desk (some hotels have them, some don’t). So, our sleep was terrible, despite the comfort of the beds and cleanliness of the room. The hotel staff did not offer fans, nor did they even tell us when or where breakfast was the next morning when we checked in.

The restored buildings were quaint and nicely arranged. Our room was modern and the bathroom well designed. Breakfast was very good and they even had gluten free bread and rolls. The restaurant is cozy and the food delicious.

People should be aware that many of the guest rooms are on the upper two floors and only accessible by a winding staircase. It seemed a bit pricey for the location. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been. Ice.

The bed was too soft. The sliding glass door to the bathroom didn't really stop any sounds from going through, which was not ideal if you're traveling with anyone, really.

Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Our double room was amazing at the last floor. Clean and loved the barns. Restaurant and the food were absolutely amazing and staff was great.

Located in a very picturesque village, but still very close to the highway . Well maintained historic building. Rooms are nice and modern.Very good restaurant on site

I booked a single room for 80 euros. The room was extremely small, like a bathroom, with a single size bed without windows (!!!) and malfunctioning airconditioning. As a result The room was very warm, so I opened the door to the corridor during the night to get some air. No sleep. Crazy price for such accommodation. A real surprise as accommodation in Germany is normally very good wrt price / quality.

The property is an old tobacco barn and is furnished with historical items making it very interesting. The property is very clean and well organized. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Our room was in the front, old building. The stairs to go upstairs are very narrow and steep. There were more rooms in the annex area that had external metal, tight, circular stairs which were also tricky to navigate with a suitcase. If you have any mobility issues you might want to ask for a room on the ground floor.

Breakfast (No Bacon in the tray & not refilled) a little bit of egg but stone cold......also not refilled so had no breakfast

Air conditioning did not work. A bit disorganised in the restaurant for dinner (drink took 15 minutes) but the food was good.

Breakfast was limited in choice and number of pieces per item. Room directly accessible from outside (almost Motel like feeling). Room clearly was one large area with a build wall behind which the toilet and shower (without door) are installed.It makes due, but that is all.

good location in a pretty place not too far from the motorway. parking on site,room very clean. the restaurant was most welcoming, the staff all very polite, friendly and attentive. the food was top.

although the room was immaculate, there was no hairdryer and the bed was strangely soft and not to our liking. we felt it to be lacking at the price asked.

Beautiful village, neat hotel with a lovely restuarant. Staff friendly. The restuarant kept their kitchen open later so that we could order food on arrival. Food was delicious and breakfast was also good.
