Archontiko Stamou Boutique Hotel

The hotel’s owner, who also works there, is incredibly kind and always eager to assist. The breakfast buffet is served at your table, offering a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional options. Everything is fresh and hot, including the eggs. The room is clean, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with excellent lighting options. And finally, a hotel that offers a fireplace with dry wood and the option of a thermostat for the radiator and air conditioning.

The only thing that was a “problem” - and I know it’s a big thing to fix - was that there were some ants around and on the couch in the room. But I also understand that it’s difficult to get rid of them completely.

Absolutely loved the fireplace and the overall look of the Archontiko.

The beautiful lodge/lobby/bar area was not open to guests in the evening and did not serve anything outside of breakfast. In a town like Zagora, it would’ve been nice to have some additional use of the room.

Location is a little far from most places of interest. Be prepared for a lot of driving.

The fake green lawn?

It was one of the best places we have ever been. We felt like we were part of the house rather than being in a hotel! Great hospitality, amazing people, open to help and recommend where to go and eat! The breakfast was served in the garden with handmade and local food! We will definitely come back again, since we would like to have the winter experience as well:) After the checkout a small gift bag was waiting for us with a variety of handmade and local products! Mrs Mariaelena and Mr George thank you so much for everything and looking forward to seeing you again!

Freshly made breakfast was different every day and delicious. The space between the different historic building that makes up this boutique hotel is turned into wonderful garden patio where it is great to have breakfast or sit and relax any time of day.

Although breakfast was really amazing, I would have liked the added possibility of fruits and/or yoghurt as we stayed and had breakfast for an entire week and I missed this a little.
