Pros +
- Lovely building, people and breakfast.
- View was amazing as we had a room with a terrace. We received suggestions at reception about walking track what we appreciate very much.
- Charming hotel with a lot of character. Cristina has great recommendations about where to go and was very knowledgable. I would stay here again.
Cons -
- Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our visit but Christina booked us in to a fabulous wine and tapas bar nearby.
- Very unpleasant surprise - there is no door for toilet. Noises, smell - everything like on a stage. Even half wall doesn't give privacy. Besides no air refreshener. Terrible! All the hotel smells quite much of some cleaner or some chemical and also decorations with plastic flowers was not in our taste. Also interior is quite dark and depressive. Not comfortable check-in time - 6-8:30. When we arrived in afternoon had to wait. Very poor breakfast!!! We think - 15 EUR is ripping. We arrived at hall 20 min after start and there were 8 other guests. We didn't have coffee cups, those 2 were unclean, orange juice was over, even no water, but the main thing - nothing to eat! Corn-flakes with milk, mandarins from a shop and lemons (what to do with them?). Also some jam, honey, few pieces of dry cake. No officiant in a hall. I went with jar for orange juice to girls in kitchen so they filled it up. Finally got to know they will make breakfast for us. But it was total dissapointment! Firstly barely someone speaks in English! She even didn't understand that juice must be filled up and she returned with a litre of water! Seriously? In Spain where you can drink water almost from every tap. She didn't check are there clean cups for coffee. And for that money we got exactly 1 cooked egg (after long waiting though wanted to be in some trail already), 1 slice with a cheese, meet and 3 small hunches of sausage. Seriously? We have had breakfast with portions and limited food but not so poor. And we saw that other guests who arrived also were surprised at cereal and some sips of milk with question in eyes - what to eat? If we pay 150 EUR for night+breakfast especially in a village with 200-300 inhabitants we expect more.Just view and surroundings+restaurant near church "El Petit Llop" saved us from total dissapointment. But owner Christine is nice, open and speaks English.
- Breakfast was okay, but not special. Given that the area has been experiencing a multi-year severe drought, the shower should be fitted with a water-conserving showerhead.

I loved the place, the bedroom, the breakfast was fantastic and the sweet wine left as a courtesy was a really nice touch. The bed and beddings were great and I had a great nights sleep. The terrace was sooo pretty.
The room had a bathroom that was essentially a shower with a toilet inside and NO DOOR. That was super uncomfortable and I think it will be for anyone.
The locationBed was comfortableBreakfast was good
Need more staff at breakfast. It took awhile to order coffee and egg breakfast.
Superbly modernised old property. Great welcome from Cristina. Amazing breakfast by Eva - homemade yoghurt, pancakes and fruit chutney, fresh egg and bacon, and lovely spread of meats, cheeses and pastries. There is a comfy honesty bar where you can enjoy Priorat wine, and a welcome drink in your room. All in all, a super place to stay.
Park your car and walk around! Steep way up...no worries! The wineries are around just steps away....and plenty of them!We had a room with a terrace overlooking the scenery. Room over 2 stories, on the second floor without elevator. Bedroom upstairs bathroom downstairs.
To whom it might concern: Very bad wifi connection. Otherwise everything you need for a great experience in the surrounding!
I loved the structure itself, the art inside, the friendly staff, the location, the view, the tiny plaza out front.
I would not recommend paying the extra €15 for the breakfast and the hotel wifi is worse than the free wifi in the plaza out front, but these two things are not important to me.
Lovely place. The host is friendly, the breakfast is great and the views are beautiful. On walking distance, there is a super cute town square with a nice restaurant where everyone comes to dine and socialise in the evening. Wineries in the neighbourhood are great. Highly recommend!
The small hotel just on the top of the village hill. Stylish and relaxing
One shall be aware there is no restaurant in the hotel for lunch or dinner so alternatives shall be thought of in advance
We came to the hotel without having made any appointments for wine tours. The hotel set us up with an amazing guide Laura at Gratavinum before we had even checked in. Superb service!
Hotel and room is very beautiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast and restaurant are excellent and view is amazing. And Lupita the dog is very cute!
What a magnificent little hotel perched on the mountains. We enjoyed the hotel so much who's name means 'Wolf's House' in Catalan. The rooms are each whimsically decorated and ours looked out into the surrounding vineyards. The woman running the hotel was incredibly nice. We especially loved the hotel's dinner served under stars - unforgettable experience!
A superbly charming hotel right at the top of the hill of Gratallops! Highly recommend to seek for a room with a terrace / balcony. The view from there is mesmerizing to say the least. Madam Christina is the life of the party, do say hi to her and she has a very exciting past life to share with you.
It's an adjustment for city folks as the hotel's is left alone from 3pm - 6pm and no one during the night. But that's the charming part of the hotel, it boast an honesty bar on the ground floor so you can help yourself as and when you wish at reasonable prices.
Great host, good breakfast
No A/C in May and it was hot
Staff was extremely friendly. Cristina is a lovely hostess and runs the place as if every guest is a friend. Very nice breaksfast and dinner. She even organized a dinner in the terrace in front of the hotel with a nice sky and town view. Great experience overall!
Wi-fi was shaky, but everyone needs a connection break sometimes :)
This hotel has a beautiful location. The room was comfortable and nicely done. We were very warmly greeted upon arrival. Breakfast was fresh and nicely presented.
The price was a expensive. We had to book/pay for breakfast extra. Dinner at the hotel was nicely done but the menu mentioned in the website did not seem to be available. We ordered a la carte.
perfect location and a great room but what made the difference was the stuff - Christina who is practically doing all jobs as well as the kitchen stuff
the location
construction noise early in the morning and noice from inside guests travels to all rooms easily. limited food options in hotel -same food cheese and meats for dinner and breakfast and nothing else in town open.
- extremely comfortable beds- very friendly host
- windows knee height, cannot see through windows when standing up- no ventilation in bathroom - window towards the terrace of neighbours- views not as advertised (one and a half window looking to a wall, while mountain and garden views advertised), en general, quite misleading pictures and description in booking- air conditioning isn’t strong enough for the whole room- very poor lighting in the room, insufficient to read a book at night for example- as guest, not possible to eat in the restaurant without making a reservation the day before-VERY poor price/quality ratio - nowhere near worth the 150+ euro price tag (without breakfast).
