ULVF Le Domaine de l'Olivaie

It was like a resort with lots of entertainment on site, such as an outdoor pool, mini golf, dancing, gymnastics, etc. Its restaurant was also very applicable and their food had good quality.

There is no air conditioning system in the rooms, and difficult to stay in the room during the daytime. The nights were cool and we could sleep easily.

Helpfull staff. Wonderfull view over the valley. Clean. Nice hotel area.

We travel 1000+km and staff don’t want to check me in the hotel , so we need to sleep a car to 5:30pm it the parking space Really noisy program every night with kids 11pm and I’m not able to sleep Maybe modify the check in time to 1pm to 5pm

The pool was nice. The staff was friendly and spoke English.There were plenty of parking.

The picture with the kitchen was very misleading. We thought our quadruple room had a kitchen, but it didn't. The room was extremely hot because it did not have Airco. We wanted to rent a ventilator, but they were completely out. Luckily we our room was at the end of the hallway, so we could leave the front door open to get some cross wind. The wifi was very bad. We couldn't connect most of the time. We tried to play mini golf, but the condition of the courts were extremely bad and we gave up after playing 4 holes.

Great location. Nice pool. Friendly staff. The entire hotel had the air of an establishment back from 1980, this was a bit unexpected, still fun.

Breakfast was quite modest.

Nightmare

Everything about this hotel is ****. The hotel is situated in the mountains, in the middle of nowhere. There are no facilities nearby. Do not be fooled by Google maps, driving from the hotel to the nearest shop will take at least 30 minutes. The hotel itself is very old and not lacks a lot of facilities, there is no airco and if you leave your room open for 1 second it will be full of flies, spiders, musquitos etc. It was very hot when we were there and the room was almost impossible to stay in. The hotel tried to charge us EUR 5,- per day to use a fan. Outrageous. Be smart and stay somewhere else.

The place and how the hotel is situated is very beautiful. Room was very clean.

A litten refrigerator should be in the room (at themperatures of 30 degrees + Celsius).No exchange of towels during a 5 nights stay. Garbage has to be brought to the Containers by the guests themselves.

The swimming pool was very nice. But that's all. Location of the hotel is very nice, great views etc.

Old place, needs extra investment to make it more up to standards. The rooms are very, very basic. So is the food. If you need a place for 1 night or so it is ok. But wouldn't recommend a weeks stay.

I loved everything about this place, especially the friendliness of the staff, the smiles, how welcoming they are; the location, the view; the room/apartment was fine,

We only used the pool once, though, it should be better kept/cleaned!! Dinner/food could be better. Breakfast was not fantastic, but it was OK. But it worked out for us, for we did plan not to eat at the hotel or spend much time at the hotel but visit the area and the local restaurants and beaches.

Great views, off-season so had swimming pool to ourselves. Dinner was a good value and easy parking. Close to nice.

Excellent location, whether you want to bike, spend time at sea or wander through the mountains... all is at your fingertips, but own transport is essential if you want to do it all. Food was excellent, choice of dishes and huge portions.Lots of activities for kids and adults.Overall, highly recommended.

The view was spectacular. We arrived late, but the reception staff had left the key for us. The other staff are young and helpful, though not speaking any other language but French. The furniture is old, but has been painted white, which gives it a decent aspect. We had clean linen and towels and we could spend a peaceful night, which is what we wanted. Based on the reviews we read before, we did not try the breakfast.

It was awfully hot and we could only open the balcony door for some air. The balcony and the common areas (hallways) looked as if they had not been properly cleaned for a while. We got the key to the room, but not the Internet access details, and the free wifi network was very poor. The shower tiling needs some doing up.

Great personnel.Location is nice, in mountains.Water pool is an advantage.

In such period as August we missed conditioner !!! we spend just night there and anywhere it was hard ….

Cute little value-oriented resort near the village of Gilette, with many amenities and incredibly friendly staff. Stayed here in advance of a cycling trip through the Alpes Maritimes. Good, hearty food, clean and basic rooms, with balconies facing the mountains. They also have an airport shuttle for 30€, which I used.
