Kohlerhof - 4 Star Wellness & Active Hotel

Room was spacious and modern. Breakfast was tasty and had plenty of options

The hotel was great. The staff, the restaurant, the quality of the food was great. We didn't eat out once as the food in the hotel was so good.

We had booked three separate rooms, all costing the same, but two of them were very dated in decor compared to the other. Also two of the rooms were above the smoking area and bar/disco, so the rooms did smell of cigarettes and there was loud music playing into the night. This wasn't the best after a long day on the slopes!

I can give 5 stars for the SPA facilities, they have 2 pools - one for families with kids and one in SPA area where there is a wide variety of saunas and even a heated outdoor pool.

I booked a large family room in Kohlerhof Hotel with SPA and a ski lift 50m from the hotel. Upon arrival we were given an apartment in the middle of the town, about 5 min walk from the hotel in the apartment building. The apartment had one 1m wide bed in one room and a retractable bed from the wall in another room. There were 1m wide blankets wrapped in a single use blanket envelopes. The apartment did not have any shampoo nor a soap. When asked, the hotel provided us with 4 body lotions. I was asked by residents of the house to move my car so I had to leave it in between the hotel and apartment. Every morning we had to walk to breakfast and then back to get changed into ski uniform and then carry the skis to the ski lift, although I booked a hotel just to be very close to the ski lift. If I wanted to go for a spa, we would have to walk to the hotel, get changed and after the spa walk to the apartment which even did not look like a hotel. I asked 2x to change the room but the reception told us that they are overbooked although there were rooms available for instant booking. During 6 night stay we did not get a single cleaning and on top of that I was asked for a cleaning fee in a 4* hotel!!!

Really enjoyed our stay at Kohlerhof, everything about it was perfect. A charming hotel with a very alpine feel, located right by a bus stop to head up to Hochfugen ski area. Food was great, buffet style with a good choice.The spa area was excellent as well, perfect after a day on the slopes.We had one of the deluxe double rooms and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Nicely done out, it felt just the right level of luxury.Finally the staff were very friendly and helpful. When I got home to the UK I realised I'd left a jacket in the room, a quick call to the hotel and the jacket was posted back to me. Fantastic customer service!100% recommended and will definitely stay here again!

Room was clean and pretty spacious

Food was absolutely awful (the option included in the ski package), we waited for 2.3 hours for dinner on New Years Eve - when it arrived, it was cold. We didn't eat it.

Loved the price and location. They even dropped off at the train station. The sauna and pool were very relaxing after a long day of exploring.

So many things! We had such a great time although we had a short stay. The food, saunas, room, and staff were all wonderful! Will recommend!

The location of the hotel is excellent right next to the Spieljochbahn. The hotel is nicely equipment, the rooms are spacious and there are enough parking spaces. The wellness area is beautiful. I booked half board and the food was also fine, although having tried the hotel restaurant before several times, I was expecting a bit more.

I was staying at the Wellness part of the hotel and there is an ongoing construction in the lobby, which was a bit loud at times and it got quite tricky when coming in with my luggage etc. I would have expected a heads up about this at reception, but was given no prior warning. If I had known, I would have booked the main hotel building.

From the complimentary glass of Prosecco when checking in to the gift when checking out, this is one of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed in...and I've stayed in a few!The room was superb with neatly laid out quilts, slippers, dressing gown, sweets. There was small complimentary bottles of Prosecco and orange juice. The ensuite was lovely with plenty of toiletries. The breakfast room was vast, but very tastefully designed. The range of food on offer for breakfast was overwhelming! Outside there's a large patio area, ideal for sitting and relaxing after a long day travelling on my motorbike. All the staff were very polite, warm & welcoming, most spoke very good English. I'm booking again for next year to take my wife and we'll stay longer this time.

The spa facilities are wonderful! Much larger and encompassing than I expected- they have two areas one for adults and one for families. The hotel is quite large, and has great access to the ski bus. Reception is lovely, really friendly and kind.

The restaurant was good enough, but I felt the breakfast lacked fresh juice and fresh fruit (they have but some seems canned). The staff felt as though they lacked a bit of man power (understaffed), however, they were always kind and gracious. And you can order eggs in the morning, which transforms the breakfast.

Breakfast can be crowded. Normally you get a fixed table but we had to ask one every day.

Perfekt location to the Skilift. Very nice sauna and Swimmingpool. Personal very friendly.

Spa was great - large area with a wide variety of saunas. Pool area was beautifully decorated and the various water jets near the edge were really relaxing. Room was very comfortable and quiet - modern and very comfortable. Staff was very kind and responsive. Very good value.

Elevator is very slow. We were on the 4th floor and had to wait 5 minutes sometimes for the elevator to arrive. Food was OK, but expected better. Not sure how the layout of the buffet could be changed, but there was too much traffic in the center at breakfast. Overall the hotel felt crowded and it was not even full.

Super nice facilities, the spa and pools are amazing and the rooms and bathrooms are nice and spacious. The breakfast is fantastic and the food overall was good. Extremely friendly staff as well.

The buffet was not to my liking, very much dominated by meat. There was not much for vegetarians and it was difficult for them to remember to account for vegetarians for the starter dish. I did not like that you could not decide for yourself where to sit in the restaurant and you were forced to sit in that same spot for the entire time, except for when you wanted to sit outside. The bed was also not great.

Big hotel, good breakfast

After making a reservation with booking.com and kindly letting them know i was travelling with my dog, they replied I would be charged 25 euro per night extra for the dog. I thought this is an unreasonably high amount, so i proposed to them either to charge me a more reasonable fee of 10 euro per night or cancel my booking free of charge. They didn't reply anymore. I asked booking.com to intervene. They also didn't get through and suggested i would call them to sort it out. I didn't. I went there for two nights and eventually paid the 50 euro extra for the dog. Since i dont think this is a fair amount to ask for a dog that just sleeps there on the floor, after the reservation was already final (with a cancellation fee of 50%), and especially since I feel this isn't the way to interact with customers, I give this bad review and would not recommend the place.
