I love the peacefulness and tranquility of the location. The rooms are very pleasant and comfortable.Always get a warm greeting from the ‘Madam’ and although neither of us spoke the others language, she has google translate “audio” off to a ‘T’.We both understood each other.Make sure you use the restaurant- food deeelish. A good size G & T as well.

It was my choice to stay there, having been before. Says it all.

Very good, clean and medival looking facilities. We had a comfortable stay in this cozy hotel.The breakfast was delicious, they served typical food (cheese, ham, natural juice and coffee). There was a place to park our car. The staff was very friendly, we will definitely come back.

How Heating system works is not very comfortable, it becomes very hot at night and cold early morning

Great place, next to park natural Hoces del Rio Riaza. Extremely calm village. Perfect for relax before & after hikes in the park. Nuria, the manager is paying lot of attention and showing great availability. Such a nice place in a relatively remote location

I'd say nothing honestly. The parc Natural is quite close the Santa Cruz de la Salceda, that made this place perfect for our days doing bird (vulture) watching.

An ideal overnight stop on the way back to the ferries or A good base for exploring, rather than staying in a town/city.Peaceful, quiet, staff more than willing to use 'translator' in order to understand.Friendly, homely, family hotel with ease of parking. Bonus . . . . . the restaurant. Really good food.Room / Bathroom . . . . . spacious and comfortable. Will certainly use again.Muchos Gracias

Everything was perfect, the owner went out of her way to make it special, even delayed dinner to suit our group.

The hotel's location is blissful, in a quiet market square of a small village. Delicious food. good value for money.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the owner on the other hand was very unfriendly, reception was not cordial at all. We love this hotel and the nice food and drinks. If this was not so good, we would stay away from it.

I would recommend having a room at the back of the property- ours was over the front entrance and terrace and very noisy with locals enjoying their leisure time until late

Charming staff , good food, beautiful hotel, lovely quiet location

I was the only guest staying at the hotel and although neither the host nor I spoke any of the other's language, I was made to feel very welcome. My motorcycle was stored securely and dinner and breakfast was more than adequate.

Comfortable bed

The room was cold even though they knew what time we were arriving. The heating was then turned on but went off during the night and never came on again so we had to shower in a cold bathroom the next morning. The restaurant was not open for breakfast or evening meal even though they asked us what time we wanted to eat. Paid for Spa suite but only one small chair not good enough for a couple ok for single occupancy.

If you like rural living with quality this is top of the list, lovely staff, rooms and fine food

Nice location in the center of the small village beside the church on a small square. Very good value for the price.

staff were lovely, food was good. Our host Nuria went out of her way to look after us and our motorcycle.

We loved the village as it was a small pueblo, and it was nice to get out of the city. The hotel had a great restaurant which we availed of on both evenings.

No air conditioning in rooms, however the owner gave us a huge fan which did help!

Beautiful well kept property. Nice location, a bit cut off.Host was wonderful really put herself out , using Google translate, amazing patience, and very cheerful and helpful. They kept the kitchen open even we where the only ones eating.

Nothing to dislike.

Spacious character room/hotel, very comfy bed and top quality linen. Superb spa bath and friendly helpful lady staff as we spoke no Spanish. Very quiet village location adj church in wine making region and easy parking outside.

Difficult to communicate as we speak little Spanish (not their fault) so menu translation a problem and the food and wine very expensive for what it was and dinner plates were cold. We were the only people to eat so lacked atmosphere and seemed little or no alternatives locally to eat but it is January. Off the beaten track so not really for travellers enroute to/from Santander ferry but great for Spanish tourists wanting to get away.
