    • Very nice hotel, Maria was great, the breakfast was excellent!! I wish we would have stayed 2 nights
    • room was great. staff friendly, town peaceful and quiet not touristy.
    • Beautiful, unique, romantic castle! We loved it, one of the highlights of our Italy trip. We loved getting off the beaten path when we travel and Filadelfia certainly was! The wonderful breakfast buffet prepared for us in the morning was more than we could ask for!

    Cons -

    • Difficult to find. The # of the building was not posted, this should be an easy fix
    • we came in mid november and we were the only guests there. it was a bit odd, that all the lights in public area were turned off when we left and returned to our room.
    • We picked the hotel specifically because we thought there was a no pet policy as my friend is allergic. There were dogs in the breakfast area. One of the cottages is in dire need of work on the first floor.

The staff was nice - especially Catrina. She was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was great, lots of variety. The main hotel is beautiful and the restaurant was great.

The food at the restaurant was excellent. The staff was very courteous and very nice.

I can smell mildew and the floors were dirty.

We booked room in the hotel but were put in a tiny house not connected to the hotel at all with no facilities

We were not told that the cottage which we thought was connected to the house was not connected at all. We had no coffee/tea in the room. Room was very clean though

Amazing to sleep in a borgo, our kids loved it. The room was very big, nice and clean, great breakfast. The staff was amazing, helpful and kind. We recommend it.

The building is stunning and the restoration has been done with great care.

There is a nightclub in the basement - had we known we wouldn’t be able to sleep until 2am we wouldn’t have gone there. The owners seemed to think it wouldn’t be an issue.

Fabulous atmospheric building. Staff very accomodating. Food in restaurant was excellent, as was the Calabrian breakfast. They were very helpful with regard to my gluten intolerance.

    A little cold in winter.

There was a large two-room attic apartment for the three of us, but it could have accommodated 5 of us. Nice staff, with a very cool restaurant one level down. Breakfast was adequate. If you like unconventional accommodations, you'll love this one. Messy, huge ceiling heights, good colors, like a castle. The city itself is not very interesting, we had a rental car with which parking was not a problem.

the rooms were a bit cold, but that wasn't a problem. You had to wait a bit for hot water, but it came if you were patient. The wifi was crap.

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff. Breakfast was super tasty. Greta location!

Little remote and limited dinner options in town.

Family oriented hotel with a great value. Every morning we had the continental breakfast with differant options to include pasties, eggs, coffee and fruit. Very filling.

    Everything was great!

What am amazing place! We had the whole castle to ourselves which was pretty special! Of course this meant the restaurant was closed but there are lots of dining options nearby. Anna was delightful and took care of our needs as well as serving the most amazing breakfast ever! The air is fragrant and the village just beautiful, wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved it but there are lots of stairs and trip hazards so it wouldn’t suit anyone with poor mobility or vision difficulties.

Breakfast was amazing!! Staff was friendly and helpful.

Long climb with many stairs. Bed a little soft.

Good location nearby the central piazza in Filadelfia, a charming village

The room was gloomy and could benefit from some renovation. Beds were quite uncomfortable.

This is a very old city that my family came from. They came from Filadelfia in the early 1900’s to America. This was my chance to walk the streets my ancestors did. The hotel is old but the entire town is old. It was functional and the staff was wonderful. My room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and my bed was made. I didnt need anything else.

    9DianePosted on: 10-22-2023

Breakfast was a highlight. True Calabrian breakfast. The renovation of the interior was very well done.

    7SilvaPosted on: 9-22-2023

It is an interesting place, mini castle experience. The staff was kind. Breakfast was good. Parking on street very close to the property. Walking distance to the center.

The building construction materials like gipskarton, cables, pipes need to be covered - seeing them destroyes the whole beauty concept of this place. I had the feeling, from the photos, that there is a panorama terrace, but I could not find it. Tall people could have problems in the big family suite because of the low ceiling. If we would be 5 persons(like they offer this room), it would be very narrow. Because of the late hour that we arrived, there were no open restaurants around( we thought that there is one in the hotel, but-not).

Beautiful hotel, with a warm atmosphere, and well decorated hotel, with a great restaurant. The personnel were extremely friendly.Good experience.

We couldn't watch TVfrom the bed, as the bed structure was in front of the TV.
