HOTEL RESTAURANT COLLIN

Our hostess was very welcoming and we had a very pleasant room. We enjoyed our dinner at the hotel all three nights that we stayed there - the "truite rosée" and the "loup de mer" were very good, and the wine advice was appreciated, especially on the white that we hadn't met before !It was very easy to find parking in the large area close to the hotel.

Very well located in an historically interesting village and region. Comfortable and clean modernized room. Tasty breakfast for €12 supplement. Free public parking steps from the hotel. Wifi works well. Meals were well prepared. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Would prefer that the dining and breakfast areas had more Alsatian charm which is the primary reason that tourists have been drawn to this lovely area for generations.

Another failure by booking.com as we were not expected as the are not open for guests the day we arrived but kindly let us stay.at Booking prices which exceeded their own prices €72 booking price €65 Collin price

Slipped in shower as there was no mat provided, no parking of car was pot luck if it was available in the public area. Luckily we found a space though it was not so near the hotel.

Excellent stay lovely ? hotel would definitely stay again. We had a fabulous view because we were on the top floor. The stairs were no problem and worth it for the beautifully clean room. There were lots of rooms on the lower floors which would be easily accessible for people with more limited mobility. The Restaurant was absolutely amazing the food was delicious and nicely presented. The choices of food are exceptional and everything is freshly prepared.

Room very comfortable, a good size and newly decorated. Bathroom very large. Very good meal in restaurant in the evening, staff very helpful. Ample parking next to hotel or in car park opposite.

A very nice traditional hotel in the centre of a small, but, lovely French town offering easy access to all the local restaurants and facilities. What this establishment lacks in terms of so called 'modern day luxury facilities' is more than made up for In terms of charm, friendliness and also an intimate connection with its local clientele - always a good sign in terms of reputation and in helping to promote a nice atmosphere. In my experience people always make the difference in a place like this and in this respect my hosts at Hotel Collin were impeccable. It's a family run affair and without being overly fussy, I found they provided excellent service to their guests and were very attentive. I ate in the restaurant twice and found their traditional food offering to be delicious and very good value. I also found they serve a wonderful beer called 'Grimsberger' which has since become my favourite and will be well worth another visit just to try it again. So, all in all I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Hotel Collin to those who still enjoy traditional values. Well done Hotel Collin.

There's nothing really not to like, although as a golfer that insists on not leaving golf equipment in his car, it would have been nice to have a llift to get to my stuff to the room. However, I realise its not that sort of place and having a lift would lose some of its charm.
