Pros +
- Great location for stopover en route to Calais. Great restaurant, food and wine wonderful. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
- Both excellent.
- Good location in the near from the coast if you travel with a car. Clean and cosy room. Dedicated window in the bathroom.EXCELLENT breakfast!
Cons -
- Uncomfortable bed, think it needs replacing
- Room rather cramped and small and lack of sockets.
- The room "Capella", as it's located on the top floor, has the sloping walls. Due to that, the bed near one of he walls after so many attempts to be pushed to the wall got half broken and needs attention, otherwise it will broke apart soon. The beds are too soft and amorf. And the matress is too short for anyone taller than 170 cm.The shower is extremely narrow and tight for anyone taller than 150 cm.Very early check-out (10:00) and very short time for the berakfast (only from 8:30 to 9:30). There were issues with the city tax, being incorrectly charged by booking.com and a misunderstanding between the hotel and the booking.com, so that I first had to pay the city tax upon arrival in cash, then booking.com charged it to me 5 days later to the card for the second time, so I had to contact the booking support and to demand a refund.

Food first - small menu beautifully cooked...Big tick. Maron the front of house/chef elevates the restaurant from good to great fun due to her friendly bubbly personality. Thank goodness the boss speaks English and made us very welcome as unfortunately the language barrier did make our stay confusing although the young ladies were all very helpful when they knew what we were asking for Thank goodness for Google translator! Our little dog was made welcome and allowed to accompany us to the restaurant. Parking is easy and private. Location of hotel is in a pretty, small town/large village easily accessible by car to a large shopping centre, a massive Intermarche.
It appears communication amongst staff is wanting as we made it clear my husband is diabetic therefore could not eat the wonderful array of pastries offered for breakfast, subsequently different breakfast staff appeared unaware and we had to specially ask for scrambled eggs each morning. The curtains in our room could do with replacing, the current ones frankly let the room down. They're scruffy. And better quality, heavier curtains would make the room warmer thus negating the need to keep the heaters on.
Friendly staff, great food, clean rooms
A small nice hotel with the best staff. We arrived late in the evening and were welcomed by the owner. Nice clean rooms and comfortable beds. The best breakfast of our entire trip in France. We would love to come here again!
Recommend 100%. Don’t even think if you have to drive an extra mile to stay at this place! It worth it. The place is great. The owner and the crew of the place really taking care of it. A lot of tiny details saying that. Attention to details, approach to their guests. A lot of efforts to make this place looks nice. And it does. It’s kind a boutique style hotel with beautiful terrace and small garden. Room and bathroom were clean and comfy. I recommend 100% and I appreciate the small business owners who work hard to deliver a great service to their customers. P.S. Great value.
very friendly staff, great breakfast, great bathroom
a small fridge in room would be good, bed a little too soft
Breakfast was plentiful and tastyRoom was clean and heating worked very quickBed was very comfortableStaff was very kind and helpfulHotel had parking and despite located next to a crossroad we found it very quiet to sleep.
This is a lovely small family run hotel in a great location in a lovely village. Rooms are good size ( well ours was) with good bathroom.
We arrived at about 3:30 pm but the hotel was closed, we enjoyed a coffee at the local sports bar.Unfortunately we have stayed before and perhaps expected the same level of excellence! There was no cooked evening meal, a set meal of salad was provided, all quite adequate and nice but no advance warning or reasons why (perhaps just off season and a limited of residents?)Unfortunately at breakfast the children ( of the owners) browsed on the guests breakfast buffet handling and returning food and running in and out of the dining room, all very cute but this is a hotel and guests should be able to enjoy a peaceful breakfast. Otherwise the buffet was very good.
Small cozy 2 star hotel in the center. With restaurant and delicious breakfast.
Comfy roomsLots of stairs but with landingsFood very good
The hotel is located in a very quiet small village, the rooms are comfortable, great breakfast and parking for the car.
The heating was not on and the room was a little bit cold
Location is quiet, easy to reach (& park a car) with a nice peaceful & remote feel.It is also most welcoming and well taken care … breakfast is about the best you can find in this category. Very recommendable !
it’s rare: all was much better than expected!
Loved the localization - in proximity of a store and a pharmacy
The restaurant was closed on Sunday and it was hard to find a place to eat dinner
Staff was very friendly and nice. Had an amazing dinner at the restaurant. The room was well equipped for a short stay. It was the cheapest place we stayed during our trip, but surprisingly it was the best one. Good value for the price we paid.
The room was facing the street, so a little noisy. But we found earplugs in the room, which was a nice gesture. Also if you open the windows, mosquitos, and noise are coming in, if you close, you do not have anything to breathe, because the room (as every room we booked in France) did not have air conditioning so was the same problem with all the places we stayed. But maybe it's not a big minus, just a thing you have to cope with.
clean and tidy and staff friendly
they could have made more of the outside seating area
Pleasant
We expected to be in a little rural town. This was true except the main road runs right in front of it. Something the hotel cannot do anything about , but it does get noisy very early. The Hotel is wonderfully well set up, we had hope d to be able to eat at their restaurant but that was closed on a Monday. Unfortunately
our host was wonderful, we arrived late at night and during Covid and they were so welcoming and laid us out the most fantastic traditional French food. we never really saw the local town but it’s a perfect place to stop when travelling up to Calais from the south and it was very cute!
nothing - it was a fantastic place to stay!
The host was very attentive and organized a very early breakfast for us as we had to check out quite early due to our flight. The room is comfortable, bed is wide.
