    Pros +

    • Cute castle. Nice restaurant for dinner. In family room there was an extra bedroom for my teen.
    • Location is great for a nice walk / bike ride in the neighborhood. The hotel as such is very nice and looks authentic. Staff at the breakfast was super nice. Breakfast was sufficient
    • Great location and beautiful surroundings. Easy parking.

    Cons -

    • Very cold. Heat radiators were off when we entered. Bad sewer smell coming from shower drain.
    • the room is small but I new that upfront. The toilet however was almost not reachable :-( The beds too soft. And you can hear everything from the neighbours :-(
    • No elevator. Staff seems always to be different people, most of the time friendly, sometimes pretentious, but never got the feeling they really cared (except maintenance and cleaning; they were very helpful). They tried an herbal theme hotel, but the style is completely lost. The coziness the area is known for is not found at this hotel. The restaurant wasn't our thing; a stab at fine dining, but for this price, it was disappointing.

The breakfast was average for Europe

The room was very nice and very small

    Lovely place, well situated

No lift but helpful hands from the staff, a bit noisy for the front rooms above the terrace.

The location was nice, and room was clean and stuff were friendly.

The bed was really bad and uncomfortable, me and my girlfriend didn't sleep the whole night,I requested a double bed in advance but there was a twins bed and we were keep falling from it,the breakfast also had few options

    The patio and the staff

The fact that my room had no closet or anything too hang clothes on. The heat did not work for a day.

Beautifully situated manor quite closely to the village and the river. Breakfast was excellent as was the dinner.

Great atmosphere, view, good staff, the bar. We had the tower chamber and it was wonderful with its own private terrace

I liked the hotel, the breakfast, the friendly staff, the surroundings of the village of Elsloo

There was only one towel missing.

It's a neat place. Staff was very nice. We would stay again.

Room was a bit dated. Dinner was quite expensive.

The room was vert small under a tilted roof, where you should neary crawl to the bed. The shower smelled like sewer gas.

I do not recommend this hotel! Before booking, please make sure there isn’t a wedding taking place! The hotel informed me just one day before my stay that there would be a wedding, leaving me no opportunity to find another place. It was extremely loud, and I couldn’t sleep at all! I had to drive back to the UK very tired.

Really nice old castle, we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was very nice. Large bed, good bathroom, all very clean. Elsloo is a very nice town, beautiful old houses and church

Picturesque location and charming building.Simple no frills rooms and an excellent, fine dining restaurant

Beds are a bit too soft - no lumbar support - and lack pf AC can become an issue on hot days

    Location and atmosphere

The bed was a bit soft. There is no charger, even booking.com mentioned there is.

Nice edge of village location, next to the river. Well kept castle, comfortable with a very good restaurant. Great value too. Room was quirky with a sloped ceiling which isn't great if you are tall, however it is an old building so expected and certainly not a problem. Narrow stairs to my room, but again just a characteristic of an old castle.

High quality version of everything, from coffee to soap, comfortable beds with high quality linens.Wonderful breakfast. We asked for quiet rooms and we got them, very quiet sleep.Genius loci! Would definitely come back again.

As it is an old castle, there is no lift and there are steep step, to be considered for someone with not a full mobility. No fridge in the room. Little outdated room equipment, not comparable to the restaurant and ground floor excellent niveau.

Location, it was warm enough and the shower worked fine. Lovely breakfast with plenty fresh fruit.

The room was very small, no wardrobe, no coffee or tea making facilities. The tiny window was so high, I had to climb on a chair to see the beautiful castle grounds. Only 1 wall plug, none near the bed. Booking said double bed but there were 2 singles against each other. Bathroom light poor, no light in the shower. No decent mirror.
