    Pros +

    • We stayed for one night on our way to Effringen. The room was overall clean and had a lot more space than other hotel rooms we’ve stayed in – perfect for our daughter who loves to do some gymnastics in the room. A comfortable stopover with plenty of room to move around.
    • I arrived after the reception closed at 21.00, so I had got a code to the keybox where I got the key, this worked well. Also I had asked for a parking place by one of the car chargers as I came with an electric car. It felt very good to arrive and see the parking full except one place blocked off with orange cones which was for me. Charging worked fine overnight with 10 kWh, paid separately with credit card by the charger. The village is situated close to Autobahn but it was quiet this Friday night and I slept with open window to get some fresh air into the room, which was not very big but fine for one person. The breakfast served from 08.00 Saturday had everything I expect. The only thing that may be added are croissants. Checkout quick with the invoice already printed in advance. Good value for money and friendly and caring staff.
    • Clean room, friendly staff and a big breakfast.

    Cons -

    • €190 per night felt too expensive for what was offered. Our room was right next to the road, and even with the windows closed, we could hear cars driving by all night. Since there was no air conditioning, keeping the windows closed in summer wasn’t really practical.Cleanliness could have been better – there were hairs on the floor and in the toilet from the previous guest, and a few empty shampoo bottles left behind in the bathroom. The breakfast was disappointing. Although there were many items to choose from, very little was actually appetizing. There were only two types of bread, the scrambled eggs were more like oily omelet pieces, and the meatballs tasted like something straight out of a plastic pack from Aldi. You’ll even recognize some of the items from the nearby Edeka or Lidl – not exactly what you’d expect from a “very rich breakfast.”Reception closes at 8 PM, so after that, there’s no one around to help if you need anything. The area itself wasn’t great either – when we arrived, every restaurant except for one Italian pizzeria was closed.
    • On this Saturday morning the church bell within 100 meters from the hotel started to ring at 06.30. Not sure if this was a one time event or of it is a regular routine.
    • The bed was creaking a lot.

Hidden off street parking. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful proprietors. English spoken. Nearby retail estate with petrol station, Lidl, fast food etc. Not too far off the autobahn. Nice breakfast.

The main thing I did not like was the foam mattress on the bed. I found it too hot and too soft to sleep well. Others may like this type of mattress, I did not. Oh, and the local church bell rings hundreds of times at 06:30! - I was up by then anyway so didn’t bother me.

The owners were welcoming and spoke good English. The 'free' gym across the road had a small cardio section but lots of weights machines and a small free weights area. Plus a sauna! The mattress was extremely comfy! The shutters were great - lovely and dark in the room. And important for privacy from passers by.Lovely Greek restaurant near-by (not much else).

Breakfast was laid out first thing, so the hot food got colder and more congealed. The eggs were inedible (very dry). The staff came through every so often, but did not replenish things (even water when it was completely empty). The only fruit options were apples or a very small tinned fruit salad, so it was very difficult to eat a healthy breakfast. The room was extremely basic, thinnest towels ever! And the thin bedding and square pillows were hard to get comfy in. I was extremely cold and the heaters were on timers, so it was hard to keep warm. The shower had good power, though it leaked all over the bathroom floor, then the cleaning seems to be every other day.

Very nice hotel and super good breakfast. I suggest to leave the hotel sign on because in the dark we had some hard time to get to the hotel

Spacious room, comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Nice full size gym right across the street too if you want a hotel that offers a place to exercise.

Was not aware weekday breakfast ended at 9am so was disappointed I missed it. Also was glad I found a review noting that the neighboring church bell gongs early in the morning but that was the only time on Sunday morning. Don't recall it on both overnights.

Clean and nice hotel in a small town. The room was very nice. Bathroom was modern, small, but efficient. Extremely clean. Room and beds were good location in the center of the small town is great. A few restaurants at walking distance. Unfortunately the hotels restaurant was closed on Tuesday. WiFi is good and fast enough to stream Netflix etc. Breakfast was good. Lots of choice and reasonable quality. They have an own parking space within the yard. Wouldn’t mind staying here again

My room was on the side of the road, were the traffic passes. The room has double glass and an extra outside blinds, but some trucks are still noticeable. Luckily during the most of the night is was quiet.

The owners are friendly. The continental breakfast was excellent. The place is clean and the bed was comfortable.

    The bar closes early.

Tania was friendly and helpful. She answered all questions and gave good suggestions. Breakfast was superb. The place was very clean.

Restaurants were sparse in the town. However, Fulda is close by with many options.
