Hotel Rila

Hallways smelled. Breakfast was not edible. Dining room was not clean.

For being located in such a small town, the hotel is very nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and there are great facilities like an indoor pool and sauna. It's a perfect place to stay while visiting Rila National Park.

No major issues. Parking was a bit tight, but it was free. The local town is small, but there are some nice restaurants within walking distance.

Close to "city center" - when arrived there was city party going on. Nice to watch. Free parking, not bad rooms. Everything needed in toilet - soap, accessories, etc. View from room.

Food on breakfast was not so good.

The main door is too narrow

Poor breakfast, Jacuzzi and pool are filthy.

The Relax Zone is relatively new, clean, has 3 types of sauna - I liked that diversity. Our bathroom was super large, well decorated. Our room had a beautiful view towards the old clock tower and the city center.

The Relax Zone does not open until 10 a.m. One cannot go swimming before breakfast. The bath tube nozzles were not installed and not connected - its jacuzzi function is not guaranteed to the guests and its not intended to work. The windows and the coffee tables were dirty. The coffee in the hotel is disgusting.

Great staff the room was clean and very comfortable parking good and secure restaurant again great food and very pleasant staff who speak English recommend as a good hotel and quiet

We love welcoming at the Reception. The gentleman was so kind and accommodating. Room was good, clean and quiet.Breakfast was great ? I loved atmosphere and hotel/restaurant style, very cosy.

Mattress in our room was a bit tilted to one side.Coffee machines need to be upgraded ?

Decent size swimming pool, all sorts of sauna, nicely renovated bathroom in the room, location in the center of the city.

Lack of the gym, room's door worn off - some closing problems occurs, cold breakfast, because the service person in restaurant was too busy with the mobile phone to lit the fire under stainless pans at the buffet, lack of any staff in the SPA - as per Hotel Reception nobody is dedicated to this position, clearly visible mold on the SPA walls.

Very comfy bed.

The carpet in the room was very dirty. The bathroom in the room smelled of urine. Apart from that it was ok. The provided breakfast was really good and the staff were friendly.

The food in the restaurant it was very good and the personal was very nice.

In the room was quite hot, even for October. The bathrooms are designed very strangely, it's very hard to close/open the door if you don't stand up from the toilet... The location of the hotel is quite noisy for families with small children, if you open the window, you can hear all the city traffic, the church etc. The water in the pool was very cold and the baby could not go inside. I understood from the reception, that they changed the water and it didn't have time to warm. Always you should call and ask, just to make sure it's ok.

Spa and swimming pool looked lovely in the photos but we didn't get to use them because of their very limited opening hours - only open from 16:00 - 20:00 on weekdays.Our room had a very strong smell of cigarettes. Although the hotel looks recently renovated, our room had very dark walls with harsh light which showed the stains and scuffs. The corridors looked more like hospital corridors. Generally quite a depressing ambience.Didn't want to spend any more time than I needed to in the room as it wasn't very cosy so just used it to sleep one night and immediately check out.Very expensive for Dupnitsa and for the bad overall quality of the rooms.

The staff were polite, especially the woman at the reception on our check-in. The rooms were clean. The restaurant was nice.

The rooms are very narrow and small, I do not find the price of 140 per night a reasonable price. I have been at other cities for the same money and I have had sea view, it is simply too much money for what it offers. A mini bar would be nice to have.

Room with a fantastic view, towards the mountains, AC a little noisy but bearable, Breakfast a stunning surprise, everything was tasty and fresh, a great and large selection. A quiet place we plan to review

A small cockroach in the bathroom
