I liked the facilities, it was peaceful. We liked the front yard where kids can play.

Lots of things in the sauna/pool area were turned off. No access to outside terrace from pool. The foot soakers were broken, and steam saunas turned off

4* hotel reception was closed at 18:00...Restaurant closed, no staff...

This is a nice hotel located near the lake. We liked the location, the hotel decoration and the spa facilities which are directly in the hotel. In fact, we decided for this hotel because of the spa, as the weather was wet and cold, so it's good to spend an afternoon in a sauna or whirlpool.

As we already read in other reviews, there were not all the spa facilities operating. For some reason (maybe economic), only one sauna was operating. At the beginning, there was almost no people in the spa, so it was ok. Later, many arrived and there was a queue. So, I understand the economic reasons if there are just a few guests, but not when the hotel is sold out. We also read that some people found the pool water too cold. It seems to be cold if you go only to the pool. In a combination after sauna, it was exactly the right temperature to cool down.Overall, we were satisfied with the stay,but found the hotel a little bit too expensive for the room size and the facilities offered.

The hotel has some nice features but lack of air conditioning and the staff's total disregard of our situation had completely ruined our stay.

No air conditioning during our whole stay. No facilities for the disabled. No lift even though the restaurant is in a basement and the lowest rooms are two flights of steps above. More steps to access the swimming pool which doesn't have any rails or other safety features. Jacuzzi difficult to access and again no safety rail.

Amazing STAFF and LOCATION. Really nice family atmosphere in an absolutely gorgeous, worried free nature ambiance. The selected menu is really delicious, and the spa is plentiful if you plan according to the selected hours. Fantastic stay, and we highly recommend it. THANK YOU.

Stairs when u carry the bags could be something to note for some travelers. The automatic light switch in the bathroom could be annoying. The towel warmer should have more noticeable functioning as you can't tell if it works; never turn in on our room

Situated in a nice area, friendly staff, great wellness area with pool. Room and amenities are mostly as advertised.

Hotel furnishings (inside and outside) are dated, to make good on its four-star ambitions the place really needs investment. Restaurant is not open all nights, breakfast is unimaginative, dinner menu is very poorly developed (spaghetti every day) and badly executed. No lift.

food and drinks were very good, staff very helpful both on reception and in bar/restaurant.

stairs as i am disabled. very small bathroom. car park poor. no real help for the disabled but the staff did all they could to help. i will not be going again as i am 74 years old and not getting any more mobile.

Location is great

I definitely do not recommend this hotel, room was a bit stinky and equipment is old, wellness closes at 7 pm (which is not standard for 4* hotel), staff was very unpleasant. Although web page says that the hotel has restaurant offering ala carte menu, the hotel offers only some strange menu, which must be ordered in advance! never again

We are returning customers. It was our 14th or15 th stay in this hotel. And we are sure, we will be back here in a short period of time. Perfect hotel, kitchen, spa and a wonderful staff. Everything was just perfect, even the weather:) We recommend this place for relaxing stays whenever.

Very close to the lake (although calling this "beachfront" is a bit excessive!), the receptionist was very gentle and I appreciated the proactiveness in calling us in advance to ask if we wanted to join for dinner. One of the people in the party needed gluten-free meals and they tried their best to accommodate the request. The suite was fairly large with a comfortable view from the balcony.

We ordered sparkling wine which came warm and food was okay, worse at breakfast. Almost nothing worked in the wellness area, either because it was not going to be turned on until late afternoon or because it was flat out broken. A wierd kitsch mix of multiple decoration styles that makes the overall appearance very messy and old. The bed in the suite is not a real king size bed but just two single mattresses crammed together. Overall I don't feel it's worth the amount of money that we paid.

Everything worked just perfect, as always in this hotel. This is a perfect płace for the rest from everyday life and battery charge for the next months:) Very good restaurant with plenty of bottles of a very good wine, nice and silent surrounding and a perfect spa area. We didn’t need anything more.

Great breakfast and all the food in the hotel restaurant and bar. Very kind staff.

Only one thing could be better - we would appreciate, if the pool could be open earlier from the morning and later in the evening, and saunas longer than only two hours in the afternoon. But everything else was really great, we will come again :-)

The Staff here are really what makes the hotel.Location right next to lake and walking path.If not many guests wellness is really good.Good selection of 4 sauna.Breakfast was ok.

The hot tub and pool is only really for a maximum of 4 people at any time.Our room on floor 3 was a little tight, bathroom door only opened 2/3, lowered corner ceilings.The evening meal was a set menu of a vegetarian or meat selection, neither was really what I liked, so we did not eat here. I will admit, it was a bit of a disappointment, as previous reviews said how good the food was.

The hotel had a lovely spa complex, with a salt-water pool, saunas, a jacuzzi, and footbaths--all were included in our room rate. It fills a niche between the very expensive spa hotels and rental cabins in the area, and there is a friendly family approach to management. It's about a three-minute walk from the shores of the lake. We were very happy with the breakfast, and we'd stay there again.

We were happy to have a small talk with the owner, pan Tomáš Čermák. Our weekend in hotel Berg was fantastic.

The location is great and the staf is very kind and they speak English. The Wellness is excellent with infra red sauna, jacuzzi, pool and between 16.00 and 18.00 also steam and Finnish sauna. The beds are fine.

The restaurant was the wordt I’ve had so far for dinner. The steak was too long done and tasted funny. The salmon was not prepared properly and nothing tasted fresh. The orders arrived at random moments. My father in law received his food when we were all finished and the side dishes (like fries) arrived way earlier than the mains. We had some food at a different place afterwards.

Lousy service

Impolite and not cooperating personnel and especially management. For example when we tried to discuss the possibilities for lowering a room temperature of 27 degrees Celsius the manager responded with “that’s your problem, not mine”. Very uncomfortable 2 person’s bed consisting of two single beds put together with a very small mattress leaving gullies on both sides. Very poor acclimatisation possibilities in the rooms, dirty bathroom and used shower cap that was put back in wrap.
