Mooirivier

Amazing hotel in a great location. Quality rooms, clean, and comfortable. Great service from everyone from reception, to bar, to lobby, to breakfast, and anyone else. Great breakfast as well.

Our stay at Mooirivier was just for the one night but was very pleasant - everything was beautiful including our room, dinner and breakfast. The surrounds are beautiful and the staff were happy to help us.

Location in the middle of nature, swimming in the river Vecht, sauna, great bike paths, restaurant

Upon arrival, we received an upgrade, which is, of course, a warm welcome. Each time we went to the spa, it was empty—such luck with timing. The sauna was great, especially the IR sauna; the steam bath took a bit too long to get to temperature, so no luck there. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, and so was the breakfast. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating.

Everything with the hotel was nice until we retired to the room at night. The room was very noisy. The insulation is bad. We heard the next door guests very clear. The noise was very loud. It sounded like someone moving the furniture around. In addition there was some machine noise until very late in the morning. We couldn’t find the source of it. It could also be heard from the hallway outside. It has low and monotype. It drove us crazy!

The location was excellent, we had a ground floor river view room but no patio sadly.The restaurant food at dinner was superb and great service. Breakfast good but limited choice.

Bigger windows and a patio or balcony to enjoy the view.

The rooms didn’t really match the rest of the hotel. The beds were quite hard.

The aesthetic of the hotel is very nice. They do add some nice features, such as soft music, scented candles, and just a nice vibe.

We had a suite, and I was awake till 2:30am due to such poor room sound isolation. I could hear talking, walking, clicking of light switches, everything. As well, the water container was empty in the wellness area. The restaurant slow cooked beef was really good, but overall I have had better dinners for less costs. It was very disappointing for a 4 star hotel.

sauna and fitness studio are amazing. The hotel is placed in a beautiful scenery, near the river. Everything is new and clean. The air is fresh. The town is quiet. There is no cars. I could spend there a month. The hotel is everything you need.

I couldn't separate beds because the shelf on the wall is on a way. I had to move the second bed into the middle of the room.

The location is really great and the dinner was phenomenal, we were really impressed. The beds are also good, nice matrass. And nice to have a sauna available, we used it.

The rooms are noisy, you easily hear the neighbors and the price for the breakfast is steep. The rooms feel a bit cheap compared to the rest (location, atmosphere, food).

The location with a beautiful view is amazing. Staff are excellent.Food in the restaurant is wonderful and breakfast is great. WiFi is available and free. The car parking is near, has many places and free. In general this hotel is amazing.

Peaceful location. Wonderful garden. Swim in the river. Comfortable rooms. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Felt very welcome and at home. Perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing getaway

Stayed for a week and had diner every night. Excellent food, but often same menu.

The service was great! The people at the desk were friendly and the iron I requested came in minutes! The breakfast staff were very friendly and eating it along the river was stunning! The windows have mosquito nets (which we found out in the morning but very useful to know!)

The rooms were modern & clean but the bathroom decor felt “heavy” and didn't seem to compliment the style as you enter!

Location is great! So green, serene and calm, surrounded by nature. I loved staying there. The staff, very welcoming and helpful. This is always the most important part of any stay for me - the people. I loved the interior decor - a mix of traditional and contemporary. Very welcoming and cozy

The only snag was some very offensive smell that came from a nearby property (which is outside of Mooirivier's control) but it was still offensive. It marred the walking experience. I had to cover my nose to walk through that area.There is no refrigerator in the room.

It is a beautiful hotel in a tranquil rural area close to nearby towns. There are a lot of walking and cycling routes in the area. The hotel has a large free car park.The wellness area is free for guests and opens from 3 pm until 10 pm with a fantastic sauna, steam room and an infrared cabin.All the staff were really nice and helpful.Bicycles can be rented from the hotel.

There is no fridge in the room.A fan in the rooms would have been nice as it was very warm due to the hot weather.

Great location, nice rooms, excellent food.

Very rigid in terms of where we could sit outside, the lower terrace has to be vacated 15.00 because it needed to be prepared for dinner, only to find that we could not actually eat outside at all (no guest could eat outside), as the waiter said it might get colder relatively quickly, which was not the case at all. When we checked in around 15.00, no food options available as the kitchen had closed until dinner. Not a great way to treat guests.

Location is very peaceful. The overall experience was good, but there are areas which can definitely be improved upon.

The room's interior is too dark and feels done on a tight budget. The bedside table is too small and plug for electricity is rather inaccessible under the table instead of above.You only get 1 small pillow per person- for the price you pay per room, this feels rather cheap. You need to call for a 2nd pillow.Our room was too warm during the night but there was no airconditioning or fan available. I was told only 2 rooms in the whole hotel have A/C. We had to open a clunky window, which meant the curtain had to be open as well.Food service was extremely slow and every course was too salty. It took 1hr 40min till we received our 3rd course. The courses are very small so we went hungry...The fitness center and spa facilities are limited
