Convenient location for an overnight stop en route to the French Alps. Clean and pleasant accommodation. Staff very friendly and considerate.

Lack of head room in shower room. Being in an upstairs room when I was travelling with a dog (would have prefered to be on the ground floor with easy access to the garden)

A Logis full of character. Easy to get to from the autoroute. Parking on site. Really excellent food. The owner (Alain)was very friendly but spoke very quickly and challenged my French! Dinner was delayed because Alain was delivering a calf! Two sets of traditional French songs between courses, also delivered by Alain on keyboard, were very entertaining. Altogether a really enjoyable and different place to stay.

The property was perfectly acceptable for the price. It was clean and tidy and warm.

It was very noisy, there seemed to be some activity close to our room still going on until after midnight. Luckily are young children were tired but it kept me awake til around 1am

The owner was an amazing host, incredibly welcoming and just an amazing human being! He offered us home made champagne and sang all sorts of bonkers songs at the piano for the whole bar to join in. Brilliant… truly

Lovely meal, locally produced food properly prepared, just like I expect in France but rarely get these days. And excellent music played by our host. Good secure parking

Pillow a bit too thick for my liking.

Was travelling with kids, extremely comfortable stay - large room, very warm pool (outside our expectation), spacious court area for kids to run around, even small farm animals at the back of the hotel. Location outstanding, perfect on our way from the UK to Germany. Very welcoming staff and spa area a lot to offer. Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location. Excellent dinner and a bonus cabaret. Very friendly staff and a comfortable bedroom.

I liked everything but if I was being ultra picky I would have liked coffee and tea making facilities in the bedroom.

Towel and lamp bulb were missing but was all quickly fixed

Pretty much nothing went well.

Double bed was tiny for two people.Pillows were hard and lumpy. Dinner was described as three courses all fresh produce and prepared fresh. What came, after 1 and half hour wait was a doughy pizza with a mountain of cheese, served only just warm. Pudding was a bought in creme brûlée.

I was on a schedule so could fit in breakfast, the room was clean and tidy and Alain is a superb host. You must try his own label Champagne. It’s superb ??

Quiet hotel in a tiny village - convenient for overnight stay to break a long trip.

It was so warm at the upstairs, but still really nice and clean place.

Noise during the night, party at 2am with shouting guests. Unreasonable price for drinks. Unreasonable to require guests not to eat in the rooms.

The owner, Alain is the most friendly host you could have. Despite the slight language barrier he sorted everything for us. He makes champagne, cooks, entertains and is very knowledgable about the locality. I have stayed there three times now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The village of Pontavert doesn't have a great deal of things to do but the hotel has everything you need for an overnight stay enroute further south.

The evening entertainment was hilarious! And we were given free champagne which was lovely,and there was a very friendly atmosphere. We had a fun evening.

The room was not clean, did not smell pleasant, and the shower was in the corner of the room. There were a lot of spiders and dust.
