Hotel Il Vascello

The location

I reserved 6 months ago stating we needed a room with twin beds. The hotel confirmed. We got a room with a double bed and a very small (narrow and short) single bed. When I complained, the lady at reception blamed booking for not passing my request. When I showed her the conversation with the hotel of December 15th (we stayed April 30th) she did not apologize. As the hotel was full , one of us had a very uncomfortable night. I find this unacceptable - if the hotel had been mine I would at least have said something nice and offered a small discount on the dinner or something like that.

Never stay here. Awful experience!

It is very very hotel in the same oldish style place. Everything looks like a sanatorium for my grand parents in my childhood. Everything was very old fashioned. At the breakfast you could not occupy any pleasant table, you need to sit at the table with your room number. That was very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Room also consists of very old furniture and the same old facilities at the bathroom.

I arrived after a rainy day trekking on the coast.. Daniela (host) was very nice and helpful. The room was big and clean. It was low season so there was not much places to dine but Daniela was very helpful and nice.Breakfast was very rich and delicious! I had a room with a view on the sea: it was great.

The furniture in my room were a bit old-style, but the room really had everything you might need. So not really an issue.Advice for guests: a group of people arrived late at night and made lot of noise (room next to mine). Be more respectful (guests).

Very friendly welcome given an upgrade to a beautiful suite with exceptional views, large room and balcony very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again, porto Serra is very quiet but picturesque.

More choice of restaurants but this was very early in the season.

Very spacious apartment, really clean, centrally located. Great shower (luxury style) and helpful and communicative hosts. Comfy bed, nice pillows.

A bit cold (luckily there is a well working heat pump) and self check in. No cleaning service everyday. Apart from that, all fine

We had a very nice 5 night stay at Il Vascello! The hotel is small, very clean and relaxing. Very nice and genuine people made our stay a 5 star! The hotel has a great restaurant that serves breakfast every morning and dinner at nights. We only had dinner there one night but it was delicious! It’s a few steps from the beautiful clear Adriatic Sea ( rocky side) and about 30 minute drive from beautiful sandy beaches( Ionian Sea).

Nothing really bothered us but if I must say something then at night ( and very late into the night) the street in front of the hotel can be a bit noisy because of people gathering by the water to socialize… we had to close the window. I really would have liked to enjoy the sound of the waves at night!

They are so professional and friendly people, really good people there, and also marrina Serra is so so chill city with super crowd!

Close to the rocky beach (not very clean).

Renovation would help.
