Hotel Du Bac

We liked this simple, very well located hotel very much. A friend had stayed here and shared photos of the adorable little port of Ste. Marine from her room, and we had the same view. It was really prwtty and quiet. The excellent restaurant was a bonus. All in all a high point of our two weeks in Brittany.

Very nice situated by the harbour. Newly refreshed hotel, very clean, very nice decorated. Nice staff and good food.

Fab location and really well trained staff. We also ate at the restaurant which was very good quality and again, great staff.

The room was quite simply furnished and in found the bed a little firm. A fridge in the room would be handy. The breakfast choice was limited and didn’t change across our stay. I’m not sure it was value for money at €15 a head.

Had to get barricade key to get in to drop luggage and then park away from the hotel.

Great location, comfy beds, easy to find with good parking.

Hotel is marketed as non smoking and a charge penalty if rooms smell of smoke on departure. Booked this hotel as support this policy, unfortunately the no smoking is limited to inside the building, 60% of seating is on the outside terrace which allows people to freely smoke. At one meal surrounded by a cigar smoker, cigarette smoker and worst of all vapers. Not an enjoyable experience. The smoking also wafts directly into bedrooms from the terrace with the sea breeze.

Location stunning. Presentable modern ensuite room with river view. Eaten here many times, but like many restaurants nowadays, the menu appears to have fewer choices with more simple offerings - perhaps to cope with overall staffing availabilities of chefs and serving people? So for a popular, busy restaurant, open 7 days it has developed a menu which copes well. ?Is quality slipping …..

Requested twin room for two adults, but the beds were so narrow - ideal for children.

Simple but charming room above a busy and excellent Bistro with a wonderful view over the very pretty harbour.

Door lock to rm 4 was a bit sticky - every thing else was near perfect. :-)

Nothing to dislike!

The location was at the front of the hotel with a magnificent view across the estuary.

There was nothing that I didn't like. The steep steps up to the first floor might challenge an elderly or disabled person.

A beautiful boutique hotel with a great Bistro attached... Staff all very welcoming.. Superb dinner.

Beatiful view to the harbour, friendly staff, good food, clean&confortable room, walking distance to a very beatyful beach, many good restaurants. All you need was close. Breakfast was good/typically local, still some eg boiled eggs would have been nice. I would let the sun shine more to the terrace and in the evening let the terrace roof be partly away to see the stars. The view is beatiful so why not open it more and let the light and the view come in even more.
