About
CastelBrando, a grand medieval castle, provides a truly unique setting for your stay in Cison di Valmarino, an ancient medieval hamlet in the Prosecco wine area of Altamarca. Its 50 hectares of grounds include a wellness center, available at an extra cost. Rooms are air conditioned and include a mix of antique furniture and modern features such as a mini-bar and satellite TV. Breakfast is available at the elegantly furnished Sansonvino restaurant, and you can dine at the La Fucina restaurant also specializing in wood-fired pizza. Overlooking the towns of Cison di Valmarino and Valmareno, the castle's gardens are perfect for horse riding, cycling, and walking. Alternatively, you can relax in the Princess Spa, the castle's true highlight. It's a 2,000-square-yard wellness center with a breathtaking design, located within historical and archaeological areas. It feautures 5 whirlpool pools, 5 saunas (Finnish, Mediterranean, and infrared sensory), a Kneipp path, A Himalayan Salt Grotto, a restored ancient Roman bath, chromo-aromatic showers, relaxation areas with extraordinary panoramic views of the valley. All around Brando Castle you can admire lounges and dining halls with 16th and 18th-century décor. Down in the valley, near the panoramic cablecar departure station, the Brando Shop adds to the castle services with its spacious store.

Cons -
- Leaving the castle and returning to everyday life!
- Only stayed one night. Will definitely want to return.
- There wasn't a walk in shower so it was difficult having bad knees. No internal toilet in the treatment rooms. Too many stairs in the spa areas.

Incredible location and vistas. The staff was very helpful and arranged a tour for us to local vineyards for tastings. We don’t have all the names of the helpful staff but Arianna arranged the tour. Great experience overall.
The fact we couldn’t stay longer.

Staff were excellent and made us feel welcome; rooms were superb and well kept!
To be nitpicking, no spaces for a coffee..
Spectacular building view interesting history
Not quite sure what it wants to be … if it’s a 5* then the services bar, food even bar food etc was quite a long way short .. more like bed and breakfast with attached restaurant… made up by spectacular view .. it’s a pretty remote location good for dolomites …
This as an amazing experience hotel. The historical tour is a must! The spa is nothing like we have ever experienced. Beyond 5 stars! The restaurant is also amazing and the staff are very friendly. The rest of the area don’t seem to like tourists which is sad.
One of the best spa's I've ever been to!The view and energy of the castle is also incredible.I definitely recommend this place. The restaurant on the other hand is not that great. That's quite disappointing.
The food of the restaurant next door is that great.
We loved the spa and being in the beautiful castle, the breakfast was good, servers were there to bring you coffee and make sure you had everything you need. We had dinner at the hotel and that was very good, quick service too, if you want to eat out on the terrace you have to book ahead, we didn't do that and had a table right next to the phone which rang off the hook. Our spa experience was incredible, after hiking the dolomites it was the perfect was to give our bodies some TLC. I highly recommend booking a massage ahead of time and spending the day in the spa.
The bed was not very comfortable and sheets were of low quality.
It was a perfect experience. The hotel, the spa and the restaurant were all exceptional. Thanks to the hospitality and the staff

Beautiful facility, kind staff, great food and a lot of hidden gems to find while taking a walk around the castle.
The drain was a little slow. Room temp was not cool enough, but hard to adjust.

Friendly, professional staff. Outstanding location and context. Stunning views.
Extremely fun setting and beautiful views from the grounds. The stay was unique and memorable. Breakfast in particular was excellent, and the on-site restaurant was able to accommodate us for dinner with minimal notice, which was appreciated.
As it was my first night in Italy after years away from Europe, I forgot that everyone seems to sleep hotter here. With the combo of that and the jet lag, and a more rustic bed, I wished I was more comfortable. The A/C was working, but I sleep colder than most, I think. I just couldn't cool down. Paying for parking was a bit lame, though a reasonable cost (<$15).
Great location. Historical castle. Great spa with great view.
