Pros +
- The staff were fantastic. Elisabete was very easy to deal with and helped me with my motorcycle related needs
- The Hotel appears to be stuck in a time warp - a stay here is like returning to the 60s or 70s. However, the place was clean, warm and the staff were both friendly and extremely helpful. All in all, you get what you pay for and the Hotel de Paris was good value.
- Reasonably priced for a stop on a longer journey with a baby and dog.
Cons -
- The restaurant was not open
- The car park - impossible to find on your own and a bit of a dump
- In need of a renovation, but served its purpose.

No receptionist when we arrived had to phone for assistance
Fine old hotel located in town centre with lovely staff.
Nice location in Spa region. Close to Volvic Water source. Traditional Hotel with lovely ambience.Central location close to good restaurants (Pricey) and Burger or Pizza. Lovely room and Breakfast Lucky with Free parking outside as weekend.
Loved Chatel-Guyon, amazing town with a lot of history. Our room was basic but comfortable.
Not very organised (saw two rooms before manager found one that had been cleaned). Not enough hot water for one shower. It was fine for what we wanted (overnight stopover) but slightly put off by the lack of interest from the manager and the lack of apologies for any inconvenience.
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean, it was quirky and delightful for an overnight stay - very retro and in the centre of an attractive unusual town
Very comfortable.good breakfast..parking allow our dog friendly staff
bathroom dated .
Great location, right on the Main Street close to restaurants. Lovely big and bright room on the third floor with a sunny terrace with an expansive view. Receptionist was very welcoming. Hotel interior is quite old but excellent value for money.
Only two restaurants in town open during the week mid-September. But that’s definitely not the fault of the hotel. We got a discount at one restaurant for coming from the hotel. Bathroom is very functional but clean.
Lovely staff; great location; comfortable rooms.
Nice location, nice stuff
It was so hot and there were not air- conditioner no fan
The pillow
The noisy flat and the defected door.
I would never stayed there again
The place was old and outdated, dirty and run down
The town is a hidden gem, great atmosphere. Hotel well located and very reasonably priced.
The hotel was a little tired.
the location, the staff who were very nice, large rooms and stunning views from the balcony. we didn’t try the breakfast so cannot comment.
perhaps the bathrooms could do with sprucing up. but again it remains good value for money
The hotel is located in the Auvergne area. If you want to experience the charm of historic french hotel of former times, stay here. The hotel has an unique historic touch reminding you of the time before mass tourism... very friendly staff
At the moment there is construction on the street going on. So be prepared of the road blocked leadind to the hotel (03/2023)
nice staff, parking near by, excellent village, good Wi-Fi
average breakfast, everything was quite old fashioned
Dog friendly!
Cheap price for an old worn-out room with little heating and a mouldy shower curtain. Breakfast is not worth half the price they ask for.
Comfortable French traditional hotel - nice, large room with balcony.
no parking
