B&B HOTEL Alès - Pôle Mécanique

Location was paramount as we were attending a family funeral and hotel was perfectly placed for that. No real negatives, quite adequate for out needs. Staff were tremendous in sorting a change of rooms due to leaky air conditioning.

Original room had a shower tray that didnt drain, leaky sir conditioning and a little tatty. Second room was much better despite overlooking train lines. That worried us but trains stopped for most of the night.

Complete disaster.

The stay at the hotel was a complete disaster. The air conditioning was constantly dripping onto the floor of the room, creating a huge puddle, and the room was full of mould and smelled awful of damp. We went to complain to the girl at reception and she did not solve the problem, she told us that she could not do anything and that we should contact the hotel chain. The breakfast was very, very poor, they did not replenish the food or the dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc. and the staff was very reluctant to serve you. I would like to be able to send you photographs and videos of the unsanitary condition of the room offered, it is an absolute disgrace. This is unacceptable.

Confortable stay close to Alés (by car/motorbike). The room was nice and the staff as well. They have outside free parking, which was great as we were traveling with motorbikes. Pretty silent the area. Breakfast was very good.

Nowhere to walk the dog properly (there is a small gravel area at back of hotel suitable for toileting but that's it). Situated on busy hairpin bend in the road so heavy traffic on both sides of the hotel.

Room was adequate and the bed was comfortable.

Management was horrendously and unapologetically unhelpful. I stayed in a moment of distress, my travel companion having had a serious accident the day before and being stuck in nearby hospital.The management was unable to provide me with a later checkout. After some convincing, they reluctantly held my belongings for the next day while I dealt with logistics of relocating and tending to my injured partner. They were unable to provide me a door code access to get my possessions mid day.There was zero sympathy or willingness to accommodate me by this manager in any way despite circumstances. A generally miserable human being. The other staff were lovely, but we're beholden to this manager's proclivities.

No 24/7 reception. Needed to check in via terminal. Next morning the invoice was already printed at the reception and they said it's not possible to modify anymore. My company refused to pay me the expenses as there are details missing on the invoice. Bathroom wasn't clean. Remaining hairs from previous customers remaining at the sink area. There was strong smell of weed in front of the hotel when I arrived at late evening. Will not stay there again.
