    Pros +

    • Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, clean
    • Nice place, clean and modern. The staff very kind and helpful.
    • Scenic setting of cosy farmhouse with spacious terrace in the midst of green fields. Great location for hiking and biking in the rolling hills of Flanders.

    Cons -

    • The bathroom door is a special light based door but is wrongly connected: when the bathroom light is ON the door is see-through, when it is OFF you can't see through it.Also, for the breakfast it was multiple times communicated we did not want it the second day, even confirmed by another guest in our party at the check-in place ('yes, we already wrote this down'). Yet it was charged for all 6 (so we paid 6x25 euros for nothing...kinda sad)The rooms at the street size can be a bit noisy due to traffic (like tractors and so on passing by)
    • I didn't like the breakfast, no big choice.
    • NOTHING!!!

I stayed here for a night last summer on my way to the UK, and virtually at the last minute (due to unsure travel plans) booked for one night again this year. Last year the only gripe I had was that the room TV wasn't tuned. This year, no problem; an array of possibilities on offer from free TV to Prime or Netflix, etc.I was very impressed by the hotel last year, and this year is no different. Excellent fine food (a mix of haute and moderne cuisine) in the restaurant, relatively economical for such a high standard of cooking and presentation. Again, a nice mix of hotel residents and local (probably regular) customers at dinner (the terrace was actually full when I arrived in the afternoon), very family friendly, with good service and, sitting outside in the garden terrace, a genuinely lovely ambience. And once again, an excellent room: very clean, very tidy, fabulous bathroom, very comfortable bed, fast WiFi, and nice touches like an Nespresso machine, free mineral water, and some yummy toffees. And, of course, a functioning Telly! This really is a great place to stay for a night, or even more. It is out of the way, in the middle of the countryside, and you need a car to get there. But it is worth it! Prices vary, of course, and it can be expensive under certain circumstances. But it is still fantastic value for money, and I will try to stay there again next August for a night on my way to my annual holiday in the UK. Even just the Chateaubriande in the restaurant makes Ferme d'Ecavéé well worth a visit!!!

    NOTHING!!!

It is our second stay here, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time:- rooms are modern- bed is comfortable - restaurant with delicious food- quiet surroundings

Very nice boutique hotel with high quality and style, nice atmosphere, great counryside location, fantastic staff and service.

Meals are very much animal product driven, no vegan options available for dinner, breakfast. It's a very good location to bike and have some outdoor activities, it would be great to have the possibility to rent a bike in a hotel or use a swimming pool/jacuzzi (swimming pool is available in the venue but not for use in April).

    Excellent food and beautiful location

Very minor, but we found it a bit odd to have a partly transparent bathroom door

The bed is one of the most comfortable i have ever slept in. Beautiful room, super bedlinen, spotless, beautifully furnished. Amazing surroundings, excellent food. If it was in the uk it would be a regular place to visit. Loved it. Seems in the middle of nowhere but actually only 10mins to main autoroute for Lille.

It was busy when we arrived as there was a party taking place and there was no one at reception. Someone soon came though. The signage from the road could make the entrance to the hotel clearer.

The hotel is renovated to the highest standard with the best materials. The best room I ever slept in! There is also plenty of parking places.

On arrival, finding the reception was not easy. The place is very big and we took the wrong entrance.

Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.Dinner in the restaurant in the evening was excellent (and surprisingly reasonably priced) with a friendly atmosphere (it was genuinely nice to see locals/regulars, as well as families with children, enjoying the place).Location of the hotel is beautiful, atmospheric and quiet.Generously proportioned room with very clean and simple bathroom, and a very comfortable double bed.Free Wifi had a good signal all over the hotel/restaurant.

It could be made a lot clearer when arriving at the buildings that the entrance to the hotel and check in is actually in the Restaurant, not in the main courtyard of Ferme d'Ecavee. It would be useful if there was a sign to give direction as such.TV in room had not been programmed, so useless (but not a disaster as I was only there one night).

Nice room in a cozy hotel with a very nice restaurant. We enjoyed our stay. It was worth the detour on our way to France. Great breakfast as well!

    10DanielaPosted on: 8-5-2023

Room was spacious, clean and very modern. The bed was big and comfortable.Breakfast was with enough choice. Everything was fresh and delicious. The surroundings were perfect for us, travelling with a dog.

This place is an absolute gem. I don't even know where to start. It's a beautiful old farm renovated to the most luxurious standard. No expense has been spared. I have never seen a bath so deep. The room was supremely comfortable and the bathroom, the best I have ever had the use of. The balcony overlooked a lovely seating area outside the sweet and well stocked bar, behind which is a couple of paddocks which are home to friendly donkeys, Shetland ponies and handsome Herefordshire cows. We stayed on business but it was actually my birthday over the stay and the staff were SO sweet. The breakfast included was absolutely delicious and more than we could possibly manage (although we were greedy and tried). Croissants, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, ham, cheese, omelette, coffee, freshly squeezed juice.....on my birthday they bought me cake with my coffee and then put candles in my omelette! The staff made it very memorable and I felt very special. For dinner we had melt in the mouth iberico ham; followed by the best steak either of us has had in years. Cooked to perfection, so delicious. They have an extensive wine list to accompany. 10/10 - can't recommend highly enough. Can't wait to return. A total bargain for the service and quality.
