Hotel Urgeirica

Clean and comfortable. Beautiful property and was peaceful & quiet. Enjoyed the breakfast with a good selection of food. This was our second visit at the hotel.

Nothing bad to say about the property.

It is a traditional Portuguese hotel, with a family feel and a slightly dated feeling. Everything is there, just not always that great. Staff were friendly and we managed in my bad portuguese and their limited english. I needed to borrow a charger and they had one. That's very good.

I asked for a double bed and got 2 singles and a third bed, a camp bed made up, blocking the cupboards. I am guessing they moved someone else out and moved me in. There were some hairs in the bathroom, at least 12" longer than mine! The swimming pool doesn't have enough sunbeds and people put towels on them and leave. It is a bit of a bunfight.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location. The internet worked great. The room was huge. The garden around the hotel is quite large. Staff were friendly. Vegetarian options available at the restaurant.

The pillows needed some replacement. They were not comfortable. The food was not bad, but it could have been a bit better.

My Dad and I arrived and were greeted by the friendly hotel staff. We were impressed by the beauty of the hotel and its surroundings. The room was large and accommodating. We ate lunch in the dining room and the food was delicious and service was excellent. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional. One of the staff members called and reserved a winery tour for us. Great staff! The only regret we had was that we wished we could have stayed longer.

The staff was super, The feel of this hotel is old school, in the best possible way, properly maintained with well trained and friendly helpful employees. Large rooms. Would definitely stay here again.. oh wait, we did.. ended up staying for a week! The grounds & pool are really nice, great for a decompression after business meetings. Nice to be greeted with a welcoming smile upon returning each day.

Actually all good, but if a suggestion is welcome, it would be nice to have some individual food & drink items available if not wanting a full meal or if one returns too late for dinner or bar. Including maybe some additional Gluten free food items/snacks available. ( there was some gluten free item’s during the regular meal times with the buffet) it’s possible I just missed what may have been.available after hours

The hotel has modernized some of its rooms, we had one renovated room out of the 3. The old rooms had very old beds that were creaky, small and noisy. If we'd all had the renovated rooms, our stay would have been perfect.

Location-wise, the hotel serves its purpose and the people are nice and professional. Restaurant is decent for dinner.

Hotel itself is old and only certain rooms are equipped with refrigerator. Breakfast line-up is a bit disappointing.

Hotel Ugeirica is a wonderful hotel with unique history and ambience

But oh, the dining room and menu - it really is so disappointing. The staff mean well but the result is totlly uninspiring. Please raise you game.

Lack of facilities to make drinks in the room.

We stopped for just one night as a stop over. The hotel is stunning, full of history, as for the staff, they couldn’t do enough for you. We used the restaurant and food was amazing. We will definitely becoming again.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. While the hotel is certainly not new, it is clean and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast buffet was decent. They also have a nice pool.

Check in could be earlier, check out could be later. Other than that, nothing relevant at this price point.
