Landhotel Steigerwaldhaus

Despite initial concerns about its outdated appearance and a faint musty smell in the hallway, my stay at the Steigerwaldhaus turned out to be quite delightful. The cozy room provided all the necessary facilities and boasted a comfortable bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The highlight of my experience was undoubtedly the friendly staff at the restaurant, where I indulged in a delicious dinner. Additionally, the WiFi worked seamlessly in the room, allowing me to stay connected. Breakfast was a pleasant experience, rounding off my stay on a high note. Overall, despite its age, the Steigerwaldhaus offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it a charming choice for accommodation.

Basic but charming hotel in nice environment with good breakfast.

Breakfast was a nice layout of traditional European selections. We really enjoyed the attached restaurant. The location was chosen because of it's country setting. Our multi night stay allowed for us to base from this hotels location and day trip to the surrounding areas we were interested in.

A lovely family-run hotel in the countryside. I had a bright room with windows on 2 sides. My friends had a little sitting room off the bedroom. Very nice! They also have a great restaurant and we ate outside on a warm evening. A daily menu plus another extensive menu. The property is spacious and would be good for families.

It is located on the road which can have some traffic during the day but is very quiet at night. My room happened to face the road but there are other rooms which face in other directions. It isn't a big deal at all.

We had a great diner. The top room with the balcony was nice. The owners were really helpful.

The peaceful location & the restaurant which served excellent food & drinks for lunch & dinner. The staff were great & the room was big.

Very convenient for a 1 night stop on the way to our final destination. Our late arrival (11pm) wasn't a problem, room was fine. Great selection at breakfast!!!

this property is about 10 mins from the motorway so completely quiet at night, yet easy access. the beds were extremely comfortable and we managed to all fit in one mini apartment with two big rooms and a huge bathroom. breakfast was really fresh and filling and the owners were really welcoming!

The hotel is located in... Steigerwald and is a local hub for hikers, bikers or cyclists that want to discover the area. Next to that, the hotel is close to highway 3 and perfect for people driving through Germany (like us). We booked our room only 30 minutes before arrival but they expected us and welcomed us with open arms. There is a parking next to the hotel (with some charging stations) and also a little playground (and trampoline) for the smaller kids. The restaurant has a pleasant terrace and a traditional menu (food was simple but good). The shower and beds were fine so we had a good night. The breakfast buffet was extensive, with good choice and all tasted good. So after a perfect night and breakfast, we were good to continue our journey home.

nice house with straight forward concept, nothing out of the ordinary, but nicely executed and in a very romantic/rural setting

the restaurant could be a bit quicker - good service but kitchen did not quite keep up the pace

Peaceful location in amazing beautiful landscape.The host waited for us past midnight, since we had severe problems with traffic jams an the Tauern-Autobahn.Abundant breakfast in countrystyle atmosphere.
