Very nice breakfast and overall the look of the hotel was amazing. Rooms were not as expected from the look of the hotel, rather disappointing.

I booked through booking.com a room with a private bath. On check in, I was told I had a shared bathroom and showers on with the floor. Ultimately I stayed and enjoyed the breakfast and the evening at the property but would not of stayed initially at this hotel if I would have known in advance of the shared bathroom. Reception was very nice and understood the frustration especially for the price of the room.

The building is lovely. Years ago was an old school for housewives! The staff of hotel are wonderful. Breakfast is very good. We had a huge suite.

The common bathrooms, showers etc are off the hall- and it works fine, with sink in room. Just be prepared. The restaurant food for dinner is pretty average, but probably best in area.

An exceptional property with lots of character. The room was ok- we were in the new building.

The Gym is very small, and treadmill make a lot of noise, had a complaint from another guest.

Beautiful renovated property - restaurant is the best food you can get anywhere. Everyone is welcoming and it is comfortable.

The room was big and comfy, even though the bathroom was not inside the room it did not bother us because we had a "private" bathroom across the hall and there was a sink inside the room. Breakfast was fantastic and had everything I look for. The scrambled eggs were one of the best i´ve had.

Quiet place with a small spa (jacuzzi and sauna), which is free for the people staying in the hotel, and nice breakfast. Perfect for a relaxing weekend.

The rooms in the red building were a bit small.

It is a lovely property. Well kept gardens and nice installations in general. The Fjøset restaurant is very cozy and the food was nice too. The breakfast was nice and also the breakfast room.

I felt there was a bit of disorganisation at reception.especially in connection with reserving dinner. One day we were told to go directly to the restaurant to book there and the next we were told at restaurant to book at reception. It is no big deal really but illustrates my point. I did not feel it was the friendliest personelll at all times but neither would I say it was inappropiate or rude. Just maybe something to work on to make it an exceptional stay, just an added touch.I was not very happy about the room. It was very small and did not at all correspond to the pictures shown in Booking under the room choice i had selected (the more basic one). It is a basic room, very small in size and very average in every way. I think that was what annoyed me the most, that it did not meet my expectations. But had the pictures reflected the more humble and standard rooms i would have probably not felt disappointed. The rooms were after all clean, even though extremely small, hard to move around and cumbersome if you have a larger suitcase.

Beautiful location, great history, great food. Spa was amazing, able to book for two people.

No air condition in the bedroom. Would love to be able to order food / drinks to the spa area but had to go to reception (no one was there).

We stayed here last year, and loved it. The location is good, and the garden lovely.

We booked a double room and got a room with a 120 cm? bed. Too narrow for two adults!

Beautiful surrounding, comfortable and nice rooms. Delicious food in restaurant. All staff members were very nice and helpful. We will come back in this place for sure.

The spa was partially closed due to covid. Would be nice to know that in advance!
