Park & Spa Hotel Markovo

Both the breakfast and dinner were sumptuous. The best I've had in Bulgaria, keeping in mind that I have visited numerous 4 and 5-star hotels in this country. The live music on Saturday was a big plus.

The food was very tasty, there are a lot of heated pools in very good condition and attractions for the kids.

Family and kids oriented property. Nice kids warm pools. Housekeeping team does very good job and they are extremely helpful.

Pool renovation but wasn’t so bad.Front desk needs brochure with information about the hotel and activities. And I shouldn’t ask for information about the property at check in. Our AC in the room was broken and I have been told they will give me a fan because they don’t have room at my level. In the end we were moved to a room next to ours. All was good .

It is amazing for kids. Our kids had lots of fun and we did too, seeing how happy they were. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is friendly and the facilities are really good. We will definitely be coming back.

Loved the pools, the food, the play area outside and the kids entertainment. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The heating system is horrific! We couldn't sleep comfortably because it was like 30 degrees in the room and we couldn't control the temperature. Opening a window wasn't an option either because the hotel is next to a main road and we could hear the traffic.

The SPA was great, as well as the sports and playing grounds.Staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel is very friendly and has many facilities as part of its accommodation (a very rich spa, pools and fitness facilities). The hotel staff is welcoming and very friendly.

It is comfortable for families with kids.

The remark that we were made when the baby cried at the Salt room and we were told that other clients are having their massages and the baby should not cry there. This remark was unsuitable when we are visiting a hotel famous for its kids’ facilities. And also the salt room that is visited mainly by small kids and babies is situated at the far end of the relax zone.

Staff, spa, food and kids facilities

Too warm in the rooms (probably 25C° or more), not possible to sleep normally. I've tried to switch off the AC or put it on 18-20° to cool down the temperature in the room... No difference at all.

The rooms were clean enough and there were everything needed for the kids. The food and the spa zone are great, too. The hotel is great for a family with kids.

It was too hot everywhere. Also, the smell of chemicals in the indoor pool. The breakfast was the same during our 3 days stay.

Everything was great, staff, facilities, kids attractions. Very happy with the dinner.

The hotel was great but I expected more according to the booking.com rating. It is indeed great for a vacation with kids - all pools are well suited for kids, the food was great (both breakfast and dinner), with a lot of options suitable for children of all ages, the kids club and special events for kids were very good. The rooms were comfortable, really good mattress and pillows of various density really surprised my demanding back and neck.

The outside premises look really very modest, the territory is not large and not very attractive. The saunas are quite small. But the only real disadvantage was the awful sound isolation between the rooms. I could hear the neighbours' TV and chats so clearly as if they were at my bed. That was a real disappointment and spoilt one of the two nights we had at the hotel. With all other conditions created for a perfect rest this was a substantial drawback.

Amazing hotel. We had great vacation. Spacious room, clean and with modern design. The food was delicious, lots of choices every breakfast and dinner. The kids playground was great. Different activities for the kids, the animators were very nice and smiling. My daughter loved them. Nice SPA and overall facilities.Thank you.We will definitely come back.

We liked everything.

The pools, saunas, steam room were great. The breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding with a wide selection of delicious foods.

It was very crowded with families with kids therefore, it is not so relaxing for a couple.

Meal was superb. Various type of dishes and snacks.Free parking. Entertainmants for kids - like playground outside and free kids room.Everything were modern and clean - room, spa, halls.

All the child activities are really nice. The outside and inside playground is very good. The food was really delicious. The spa is great.

There was a bit too much chlorine/chemical smell in the water. A bigger pool for adults will be a nice touch.

Excellent value for money. Pools outside and inside were great for relaxing, room very comfortable, kids animation marvelous and food both for breakfast and especially dinner was delicious.

The place is great for families, a lot of things for children all in all very good.

But the pool temperatures were all off. The outside pool is with 16C way too cold and the inside pools with 36C too warm.

The friendly staff, the smooth check in & out, kids attractions and kids entertainment program, the food quality & diversity at the breakfast and the dinner, the room amenities for kids.

At Saturday night, it was too noisy until late evening even due to some party people at the swimming pool restaurant. Perhaps guests should follow a strict hotel rule to use indoor and soundproof hotel facilities after 22:30 to enjoy their evening drinks, laughs and singing talents.

Park & Spa Hotel Markovo is a beautifully renewed hotel that has done a fantastic job of blending modern comfort with its original charm. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully modernized, making for a very comfortable stay. The food was also a highlight—delicious and well-prepared, offering a great variety. However, it’s important to note that this hotel is very family-friendly, which means it can be quite noisy, with kids jumping and screaming almost everywhere. If you’re looking for a lively, family-oriented atmosphere, this is a great choice. Otherwise, keep in mind that it might not be the best option for those seeking peace and quiet.

Some of our experience at the hotel was disappointing. We booked a room on the back side expecting a view of the mountains, but instead, we were faced with a large green net covering some pipes—no view at all. The outdoor swimming pool was also under construction, again covered with this green net, which looked very unattractive and not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. Half of the garden was under construction as well, making the overall view less than appealing. Due to the overwhelming number of kids, we had to book a poolside pavilion daily for 20 BGN just to get some privacy ( not a huge problem). Additionally, the quality of the sunbeds was not up to the standard that the hotel seems to aim for.
