The family-run Hotel Chalet Du Lac can be found in the charming village of Istelwald near Interlaken, right on the shore of Lake Brienz. Beautiful resort location. Nice light breakfast included.
Take the boat from Brienz to this place. You won't regret it. The hotel is nice, and comfy. Clean and kind staff. The breakfast was good. The area it is located in, (Iseltwalt) is amazing for walking and exploring. We also adventured up to the Aare Gorge.
Swiss chalet experience and good restaurant on property. Great location on lake with nice path

Cons -

We were in the top floor room and it was HOT, no A/C. There should have been at least a fan in the room.
The area needs more places to dine.
No air conditioning and ceiling was low
