The staff, the view, the location (once you figured out how to get there).
A little larger room.
The location of the hotel was great, just a short walk to the town and the beach. And easy access to the cinque terre. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very good. We also had a lovely dinner the hotel, very delicious!
The location, with the view and the garden to sit and admire the view in.Also the breakfast! So good
The shower was quite tight and basic, but nothing to cry about
We had a really lovely stay at the Hotel Villa Belvedere. Nestled in the hills of the small seaside town of Bonasolla, our room offered a lovely view onto the water. A quick (but steep) 5 minute walk is all it took to reach the pebble stone beach as well as the village shops and restaurants. We were also near some pretty hiking trails offering beautiful views of the coastline. Unfortunately, on the day we were visiting we had a downpour of rain all day so we weren’t able to venture out beyond Bonasolla so we can’t say how easy it was to visit Cinque Terre but we were told it was a quick train ride from the station right in Bonasolla. Instead, we stayed in and enjoyed the views from our little balcony and had a wonderful dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. The service all around was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic (I am dreaming of their pistachio croissants).Would highly recommend if you are looking for a really relaxing, less touristy option on the Italian Riviera.
The bathroom in our room, though clean, could use a bit of TLC.Be forewarned that the drive to the property can be a bit daunting for a nervous driver. The last 10 minute stretch has some narrow roads and tight corners. Thankfully, given this is a less touristy area, you are likely to meet locals on the road who are much more skilled at navigating the road. The parking however was very easy.
I like the view from the hotel, design of the hotel, the place was wonderful.I can say thah the best breakfast,i have ever eat in italy.
The shops and markets are closed near by 6-8 oclock
Very nice staff Excellent breakfastBeautiful view of the bay Overall amazing hotel with an exceptional atmosphere
The best thing of the location is the view. The sea view is everywhere, as the hotel is well positioned. The restaurant of the hotel is very nice, and as the weather was good, we had dinner outside. The inside of the hotel is also very nice, traditional and a bit quirky. Our room was simple and had a balcony facing the sea. The beach and town are a 5-10 minute walk. We had a very relaxing stay.
The staff was extremely friendly in this really beautiful hotel. I loved how cozy the exterior was with many places to sit and have a drink while enjoying the amazing view.
Good breakfast and the Bonassola is a really great place to relax and visit Cinque Terra
Somehow I was not able to catch the wibe of the place. Maybe because I had booked the Standard room and not the sea view room (wasnt available, when I booked). The room was really tiny with almost no view to anything.
Only location and food was good.
Everything is very old. Beds are not comfortable, They squeak everytime you turn. You can hear even the smallest movement from the room above, which made it very difficult to sleep.
Really lovely, friendly hotel in a perfect location over-looking the sea and an oasis of calm. The staff made us and our dog feel so welcome and this was a welcome retreat from the tourist packed Cinque Terre nearby. Short walk to the beach and also to the train station with trains down the coast to the Cinque Terre. The food was excellent particularly the dinners
Nothing to complain about at all
This is our second stay here. The location is close to the train station and they will pick you up if you ask. It is absolutely fabulous excellent breakfast with so much choice in their buffet. They also have an excellent restaurant where if you choose you can reserve a table outside where the view is outstanding. The staff are all friendly and helpful . The town Bonasola is quieter than the next town of Levanto but the beach is nicer and the vibe less hectic. This location is excellent as a base for visiting the Chique Terre towns. Great value for money.
A full length mirror and larger bathroom next time would ask for the balcony rooms they have larger bathrooms. The beds are firm not soft.
We stayed for 5 days with our dog.Super friendly staff with great Service. The daily menue for dinner was outstanding. A Lovely garden with many places to relax while watching at the sea. We felt very welcomed!
Great breakfast. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Free pick up and drop off from train station. Loved the hotel.
The view from the room was fantasic, I wish we had paid extra and booked a room with a balcony. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good range of choices of food. We decided to eat in the resturant most nights as the food was so good.
The walk from the village to the hotel was up lots of steps, which was hard work after a day walking in the area.
Beautiful hotel, tastefully decorated, the views from the terrace were gorgeous. Lovely restaurant, beautiful decor, excellent freshly cooked food. Wonderful staff, friendly, welcoming, helpful. The girl from reception, went over and above to be helpful with train times and helping us to book a taxi to Levanto, to catch an express train to Pisa airport for our plane home. The same receptionist gave us advice on a trip to Portofino which include a boat trip to a monastery. Her local knowledge was extensive.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfasts, very clean. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was superb.
The walk up and down the hill is very steep and after a days asking in the Cinque Terre became a bind after 7 days
