Pros +
- room and breakfast are good
- size of room, cleaniness of the room, sauna, jacuzzi, the surrounding view of the hotel.
- Nice stay near Durbuy without paying exorbitant Durbuy prices. We only stayed one night when visiting the Christmas market. Sadly, there were no transportation options between the hotel and the market so we had to drive ourselves. If you decide to stay at the hotel, there is a bar and restaurant there but we did not use it. It does look like a great spot for nature related activities.
Cons -
- bed is not comfortabel
- sound isolation by the bedroom door to the hall can be improved.
- They gave us a room right next to the entrance door of the building, so we constantly heard people coming and going. Also, when people were smoking outside, we immediately smelled the smoke inside of the room which was disgusting and defeats the purpose of staying in a remote nature area.

The restaurant and play are were lovely
The picnic area and bbq were booked by a large group exclusively during our stay which 1. Didn’t allow us an access and 2. It was very noisy as our room’s windows opened to that side.
Breakfast was excellent and a great variety of choices! I would come back for that breakfast only :)
The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night at 3am, it woke up all of the people staying in the hotel. We were waiting about half hour for someone to finally switch it off as there seems to be no none from the staff in the hotel at that time what was strange… we got an apologetic letter the next morning what was really nice, but the hotel that size should make sure to avoid situations like this one and make sure they have enough staff on site. The alarm was switched on by some drunk quest and nobody was hurt. I also didn’t like, that I requested a double bed and my request was approved. When I showed up in the room, there were two twin beds and nobody from reception could help me. In addition to that, the bathroom washing supplies (hand soap and shower gel) were not filled up. Gladly, we had our own shower gel with us. There’s also a restaurant adjacent to the hotel, but it was impossible to book a table in the day of arrival as it was already fully booked.. the hotel is enormous, and it’s surprising that the restaurant is so small. We ended up going to a nearby town for dinner.
Everything. As always the first impression is most important and the last at the reception set the bar high. She also helped me get rid of a tick next day!
It was a hot weekend and the room was very hot during the night. Adding air conditioning should be considered.
The best part is localisation. Place is beautiful and outdoor attractions from hotel like gym or bar is nice.
We didn’t have air conditioning in room. It was also loud outside after 23 and no one from the staff reacted when someone was playing basketball and shouting. There is no telephone in the room to call the reception. The telephone provided on the leaflet and website is not active after 8:00 PM, so with any problem you have to go through the entire hotel to the reception in person.
The room was really nice with a wonderful view into the woods. The place is beautiful and ideal for some relaxation! The staff was very nice and helpful! The breakfast was great! Highly recommend!
Nice pleasant location, comfortable and clean room, very good breakfast
Local charcuterie for breakfast
Really lovely male receptionist (didn't get the name) very welcoming and gave us a list of restaurants in town as the hotel restaurant was out of action for a week. Opened the bar and brought us drinks out onto the terrace.Lovely clean rooms, great area, lovely walks through the nature reserve.
Lovely area, very helpful staff. Lovely food. Clean and airy room. Great shower. Lovely walks.
The surrounding areas
The jacuzzi had only warm or hot water, no cold water. The sauna didn't work well, the temperature was very low.
Location was good
It is in need of an upgrade. The rooms are very basic and there is a lot of noise from floors above and rooms next door.
The hotel was in a nice region, but VERY isolated.
They put Booking.com guests in the basement floor on a hallway used by most other guests to access the elevators to the upper floors, so it was incredibly noisy all night as guests talked loudly on their way to their own rooms. The room had no shampoo or conditioner and the reception desk was closed from early evening until late morning so it was impossible to get help with anything. The access door to the basement hallway to outdoors was unlocked, so it felt unsafe. Towels were threadbare and the carpet was filthy.
Excellent
It was hot inside the room as there is no Aircon and fan is not sufficient is hot weather.
The complex is fine to stay with small children for a short stay. There are enough facilities, and the breakfast facilities are fine. We went for several survival activities in the vicinity.
The rooms were rather hot. There is no airconditioning in the building. Luckily there were several windows that could open.
Location, staff, food
No air conditioning
Spacious room and breakfast area.Surrounded in nature!
No airconditioning, so it was hot.
The physical location but having said that, the hotel grounds looked like an old “boot camp”, tatty old football court out back. The building looked in places like it had had a facelift but overall felt like a school outward bound centre. There were great activity areas for the children and plenty of shady spots.
The corridors smelt musty. There was damp in the room. The bathroom light was on a timer so we were drowned in light in the middle of the night when trying not to wake the other person. Room smelt damp. Towels paper thin, old and cheap quality. The breakfast was awful, lots on offer on of it good quality. No Greek yoghurt or fresh berries. No healthy bread. Hot plate food looked like it had been sat there all morning. Fruit salad didn’t look very fresh , not much in way of fresh fruit , just a plate of very thinly sliced grapefruit and orange. Coffee terrible, the whole breakfast massively over priced
Great breakfast. The restaurant is also very good.
The curtains are very light, therefore the sun comes through early in the morning.
