Nothing not to like !
We have stayed many times before. Bed is comfortable and it’s quiet. The shower is good , plenty of towels. The owner takes great care with laundry - always plenty of towels and we love the linen bed sheet. Nicely situated for a walk into Bessines. Madame is very welcoming, the food is simple but very good especially the omelettes served in the evening. The waiter is terrific and very efficient - everything served with a smile It’s a help yourself to continental breakfast but good quality and satisfying
Nothing not to like
The steaks were the best that we have ever eaten (in forty years of visiting France). The room was spacious, comfortable, cool and quiet. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and proper French coffee.
Did not have breakfast
Booked a meal in restaurant and on arrival was told it was not open. We had a seven hour drive and then had to find a restaurant. Would not stay there again.
Disappointed
The hotel and its facilities are very tired and poor considering it’s price Staff pleasant but standard of room and hallways shabby. Site reviews were not an accurate representation
Good location , safe car park . Pretty village, good boulangeries . Room had very good tiled floor and good air con.
Where can I start ? Booked 2 double rooms with large beds . When arrived one of the room was not what was booked and was a triple not double with shower not bath . ( The other room with bathroom was much better ) the triple room was dark and the shower room felt dingy . Worst of all was the mould on the walls under the window . This is unacceptable and a health hazard particularly for people with asthma like myself . The windows were full of cobwebs .In both rooms the pillows which were not on the bed but in the cupboard , smelt musty and unclean, on the beds was a long bolster only . Some towels were ok but there was a pile of very odd , small old towels with frayed edges . What were these for ? The corridors smelt musty . We would have asked to change rooms but as these were the only 2 on the top floor my daughter and I didn't want to be split up on different floors . The hotel was expensive for what it was .
It is clean, comfortable, friendly and has everything you need.
Large comfortable bedroom and balcony- to upper floors. Plenty of easy parking.
The hotel laout was a it strange. The rooms were to the rear of the hotel but there was no direct acccess to restuarant or bar from the bedrooms area. You took the lift to the top floor of the rooms area. Then went outside and walked down an incline to the front of the hotel so there was no level access. My wife has mobitity difficulties so although she managed ok it was not ideal.
Big room, very comfortable big bed, nice big outdoor space with sliding patio doors. Big bath in the bathroom. Parking nearby and no noise, super quiet at night.
No complaints at all
Friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent restaurant and bar
Confusing levels of floors
The cleanliness was superb. The rooms were of quality. The hosts were very accommodating as we arrived after 9pm and they waited for us .
Nothing to dislike
Beautiful room with great views. Very quiet. Linen sheets.
Bath was so clean it was slippery with no grab handles.
All as describe, a friendly welcome and good Dinner and Breakfast
Breakfast was OK
The whole setting with bar- restaurant, with very limited opening hours, the rooms and furniture are outdated. The entrance to the rooms and room numbering is......French
They were busy when we arrived, so we were given vague directions ‘around the back’ with pass number. Pass number did not work on door. Returned and owner we guess walked back smiling in wrong place we were told, took us where we should have been all ok.With a smile you can easily forgive
Trying find the room in first place
Room was very good. Breakfast was also very acceptable.Big disappointment was the quality of food served at dinner. My veal stake was unbeatable.
Quality of food for dinner was very disappointing
Arrived at 9 pm. Very courteous proprietor. Told where to go for car park at back of hotel. The room had 3 large separate beds as we are 3 widows and a little balcony with table and chairs. Quiet and peaceful. Excellent stop off on the way to Spain.
All good.
Love it. Apart from the bath was not a spa bath as quoted. But still lovely.
