The staff sat round a table in the restaurant very loud AND smoking which I found very surprising as its illegal and disrespectful to the guests who were eating at the time some with children.

We had no breakfast, but the restaurant served great diner (optional) with a wide choice of food and beverages. Nothing like a local beer and/or local wine!

Friendly staff, great food, decent size pool which was fun for the boys. Lovely quiet village and just a few steps away from the fields (i.e. walking the dogs ;-)).

Air conditioning would help in the summer. Fortunately it cooled down a bit in the evening, but it was quite warm in the room when we arrived.

The whole place was too smokey. Many people were smoking in the restaurant, there was no separated non-smoking area. People were smoking in the courtyard at the bottom of the stairs with the outside door open. The smell of smoke rose all the way up the stairs and into our "non-smoking" room.I went out to the car and 3 members of staff were smoking immediately at the front door. The family room was just a normal room with extra beds, I expected a suite or separate spaces for the price.

Restaurant not to the same high standard as the room. Not to say it was any way bad but the room was superb.

arrived there and it’s informed that we travel with 2 dogs via booking.com. There was a event and all staff are pretty occupied. During check in, we got complained about the dogs and that a wrong room was allocated. The owner lady was extremely upset and complained a lot, that I have to pay additional money. She was stressed due to many guests, however, this should not be the customers problem. It was a funny experience . We have been travelling three weeks, Germany, Italy, Swiss and Lichtenstein. This was the only dog friendly hotel who did not allow dogs in the restaurant. All others at least prepared a separated area in the location. The Ochsen size is big enough to do the same, especially having the luxury to have a smoking area in these days! Anyway, the experience was, a very unpleasant owner with less customer orientation. Friends warned me, never stay at the Alb. 16 years ago my wife and me stayed in the same hotel and have been pleased by the friendliness and good food. However, we have been super disappointed that now also the breakfast is based on cheap back-up bred and cheese ham from the discount super market. Sorry guys, you lost 2 customer.

It was a beautiful room, lovely and clean, really nice swimming pool, staff were very helpful, really nice village, excellent variety for breakfast, didn't eat in the evening at the hotel, but the food looked amazing that was being brought out for other guests, overall very pleasant stay and experience and excellent value for money, hopefully will see you again x

Breakfast and evening meal were very good, Staff and facilities were excellent, rooms and bathroom were spacious. Restaurant even had an english translated menu,

Great family room, perfect for a stopover. Nice simple local food in the restaurant, and a nice beer. Would definitely visit again.

Comfortable and spacious room. Good facilities and easy location for motorway.

One of the waitresses was very offhand to the point of rudeness when serving in the restaurant for dinner. We did mention it to the receptionist on leaving and we’re told she would be spoken to. A very unwelcoming attitude.

The hotel is modern, new refurbished. The restaurant, the pool, everything.

As always, the accommodation was excellent.

Unfortunately, like several times before (I don't know the reason), we are still waiting for the bill.The payment was made through Booking, but we have not yet received an invoice from the hotel.We asked for the bill when checking out, and we asked for the same on two occasions (once by e-mail and the other time by phone). Unfortunately, we haven't received the invoice yet.
