Meinsbur Boutique Hotel

Had a lovely stay with my 4 year old son, they were super welcoming and had a kids menu, a bit of toys for entertainment, and a beautiful big garden. At the same time, I would also find it a wonderful place for a weekend getaway without kids.

Amazing place to visit - historic buildings with modern interior in a village environment.., in the area clearly best place to go. Still it is of course a huge challenge to have professional staff meeting the expectation of the location. But everyone was really kind and customer focused :) be open and flexible - then you can enjoy a unique place with great food and ambience ??? rare to see such places

The size of the room and quality of the meals except breakfast. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

The breakfast was very disappointing. The eggs and bacon were cold and the chafing dish was not even lit on one morning. That was not good value at 20 Euros each.

Big room, private entrance. They provided a baby bed (in some other hotels we had to pay extra)

We stayed there during the winter and it seemed that heating was turned off during the night which was really uncomfortable as we had a baby with us

No-one was available for check in at the appointed time. We were about to drive away as we had an important meeting. Someone arrived before we drove off. The room needs a repaint on the walls, the hairdryer was damaged, no hooks to hang anything in the bathroom, no magnifying mirror. Night tables are small shelves which include a lightbulb, so no place to put a book. Also you need to sit up to put something on the night table. Open cupboard space with only 3 hangers, nowhere to hang coats. It did not meet our expectations.

The concept of a country house and a hotel, surrounded by forest but still having a supermarket and a couple of restaurants nearby. Nice that they accept dogs

The price point of the restaurant was a touch high. No common areas, or a lobby to gather and have a drink.No frigde in the room.From the room in the first floor we could hear the kitchen and personnel door in the evening quite a lot.

Beautiful park and surroundings

Staff very courteous and helpful. Particularly Edy this morning. Beautifully decorated. Charming old building. Excellent breakfast. Both bedroom and bathroom were spacious.

We would very happily come here again, and to make our stay better we would avoid bedrooms 5 and 6 which are directly over the kitchen (we stayed in 6). We think the very comfortable beds should have cotton sheets and duvet covers which would be cooler during the hotter nights of high summer. We would also bring mosquito repellent with us (or perhaps the hotel could provide this?) because it is lovely and necessary to sleep with the windows open .... and it is unfair to expect air conditioning in the bedrooms of such a charming old hotel set within delightful countryside. In bedroom 6, the slope of the ceiling doesn't enable guests to sit up in bed - only lie down. In such a big room it may be possible to change the orientation of the bed to enable a more comfortable experience.To repeat, we would still come back. And thanks again to Edy.

Really great place and the whole venue felt so typical German countryside. The staff was amazing and made every extra effort to make us happy and comfortable. The room however felt a bit worn down and the ashtray on the terrace wasn’t emptied in quite a while which felt unfresh.

Lovely and peaceful place, clean rooms decorated with a good eye. The staff extended our breakfast time by almost an hour. Wonderful dinner in the garden.

Good rooms. Nice area. Good diner and friendly waitress.

We wanst informed that breakfast not included in the price. And 60€ for breakfast for family sounds crazy. For few cups of coffee few eggs and cornflakes for kids…Also extra charge for dog 15€ was extra without informing in advance.

Nicely renovated big living room/ sleeping room. The staff was wonderful!

The bathroom facilities were not as fancy as the living room, but absolutely okay.

Wonderful place, woman at the desk spoke perfect English. Room was nice, clean and comfortable.

In the morning there was no one at the reception who could speak German or English, couldn’t ask for anything.

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was large, spacious and well equipped. The hotel is in a quiet village perfectly situated to atop off on route to Hamburg Airport.

A mini fridge in the room is always useful to make our baby’s milk however only a minor detail

A very beautiful place giving a feeling of a time in nature - and yet very comfortable. Great interior design, varied and beautifully served breakfast, garden with roses, quiet benches and trees. The staff was very friendly an helpful.

I couldn't access the lobby after 8 PM.

It is a really pretty hotel, large rooms and when you arrive with kids they make sure everything you need is arranged. The owners are really polite, kind and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everybody.
