The hotel is fantastic. The staff is great and very accommodating. We’ve come to the property with a dog. Our room was prepared with two dog bowls, and dog treats. Great attention to detail on their part.

The location is beautiful. Perfect for dog owners or for people who enjoy a stroll in the nature, as the forest is very extensive.The golf course is lovely. Some staff were very friendly (special shoutout to Karim, who was lovely).

The spa should be renovated. The steam room should be bigger, the gym room is a bit sad looking. They could have some lighter weights available. The majority of the toilets only had hand sanitizers (no sink with soap). There were no sauna/steam room appropriate towels and no spa slippers available at all (which should be in the rooms).Some staff were a bit rude (the lady in charge of the breakfast). We came slightly late to our time slot, but still within the closing time and she didn’t even bother to offer us any coffee/tea, nor ask us if we wanted anything from the menu. We had to get the attention of a younger staff member who was very nice and helpful.The Bistro has lovely food and we could have eaten there every day (very delicious). The Harinxma restaurant was not to our taste.There were a few details that were missed from our initial request before arriving. Overall the service could improve to really make the stay unforgettable.

High Food quality, beautiful location, friendly staff, excellent service, kind and personal treatment, staff went out of their way for special requests, the nature and peace is something hard to find.

I think the wellness, especially sauna could use more frequent (deep) cleaning. I think that a place like this should have two cleaners cleaning the rooms and have more flexibility time wise when the rooms can be cleaned. Our table was dirty with stains from glasses and food we ate, and was never cleaned, the only thing they do is change the beds and towels. A more daily intense cleaning would be appreciated, especially after having room service.

The delux rooms are quite noisy, you can hear every conversation happening in the hall.

- the gym is a collection of cardio machines, for those into golf or cardio it is fine, I went to the gym in Gorredijk (15 mins away in a village with surprisingly good shopping) to do weight training- we were disappointed with the food for breakfast and bistro, over priced, not very good and small portions

The staff were all very young but fantastic. We travelled with our dog. The bed was extra comfortable. I loved the grounds and the pool which was inside / outside.

It wasn’t clear that the dog was only allowed in the bar. However, they did set up a table for us in the bar and served us the Bistro menu. The food was excellent.

They kept the main house mostly intact which was nice to see, the garden beautiful even though it rained a lot, not a chance of playing golf though, rooms in addition nice snd spacious, staff extremely friendly

Although it was done very nicely, the addition to the original house was an eye sore to me, and it frankly saddened me to find out that the expansive gardens snd grounds were now a golf course

It is (almost) impossible to provide any criticism. It is expensive yes, but the value for money is also great. And makes it in a positive way ‘exclusive’.
