Pros +
- Great location. Very friendly staff. Clean, quiet, and nice. Great breakfast. Lovely town.
- Perfect location in the middle of German Alps, as well as intimacy different then typical crowdy ski resorts.
- Friendly staff, location. Really good water pressure in showers.
Cons -
- 1. I slept on the upper bed of a two-level bunk in a suite with a separate entrance. The lamp switch was poorly placed, right near my shoulder. I accidentally turned it on twice per night, which was very frustrating. 2. Aside from breakfast, the restaurant was not very exciting.
- A bit complicated check-in as we came around 23:00 at night.
- A lot of stairs

I visited this hotel in 2023 for lunch. It was wonderful and they have my favorite white wine -- Thorsten Krieger. I wanted to stay here at the hotel and it did not disappoint. It is a beautiful small village and the hourly train took me to the lakes where I could hike. This village is also known for their hiking, a waterfall where people bathe. Early December was not the peak season so I was given a huge double room that has an extra little sitting room with bottled water, a plate filled with cookies and milk chocolate (replaced every morning). The breakfast was wonderful and I also received personal service, making scrambled eggs to my liking. The staff spoke perfect English and they were super friendly. I would love to stay there again. The guests get a ticket for free and discounted activities -- heated pools -- and they also have a free sauna at the hotel. There is much more to tell.
While this was not a problem, the older hotels in Bavaria (this one was built in the 1800s) do not have a Lift. This is not a problem for me and the lady at registration carried both of my heavy suitcases to my room. There were stairs that need to be considered for older guests with walking issues. Again, this was not a problem for me.
We traveled during the offseason, so I can't say how it is when it's a busy season, but the personal were super helpful, the room was clean, and the overall atmosphere at the hotel was friendly and cozy.
Nothing comes to mind that we didn't enjoy :)
The hotel is a historic building in a very charming small town. The garden has a super restaurant where you can dine under shady trees. It is a good idea to book a table when you check in, as the restaurant fills up quickly.
I liked the location, nature, silence. The room amd bathroom were good and clean.
Breakfast was not rich with foods.
Location. look and fee. And staff - very friendly at the reception. We got even extension to check out which was really nice, good have a shower after hiking. The terrace is nice, enjoyed having lunch there. Very nice breakfast as well.
Nohting really. Perhaps the price of the room was a bit high, though.
The Family Room was so clean, and a lot of space. The staff is very polite and very friendly! The Hotel itself close to Train Station, to the Hiking Trail, very easy to find. Their breakfast is amazing! Also the dinner was great!
I have nothing negative to say.
Super family rooms with bunk beds for the kids was a lot of fun. Breakfast was also excellent and the staff was super friendly.
The beautiful lady at reception was the most wonderful and helpful hostess we have ever encountered. The hotel is great, breakfast was very nice and we got a big room with an amazing view of mainstreet and mountains. Perfect weekend - we will recommend and make sure to come back again!
staff was very friendly, food was good, sauna was amazing, beds were comfy and warm
the bar closed at 22.00…
Pleasant rooms. Recreation area perfect for family. Tasty food and good service. Triple bedroom very cosy and spacious. Enjoyed sauna etc.
super nice sauna area, nice reception staff, and close to the train station
the restaurant waiters could be a bit more professional
nice friendly stuff, excellent location.
the spa was outside the premises. and the spa could have been better for the money value paid..
Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff
Beautiful old building refurbished in a lovely style, very warm and welcoming.
