Set amid stunning landscape at the foot of the Wendelstein Mountain, in the heart of the Bavarian Alps, this traditional family-run hotel offers quiet, comfortable accommodations. Typically Bavarian in character and furnishings, most rooms at the Klosterhof zur Post have their own balcony from which you can admire the magical mountain scenery. Why not relax with a drink on the hotel terrace or in the beer garden after an active day of hiking or cycling in the countryside. A hearty, delicious breakfast buffet, with many organic products, specialties is set out every morning in the restaurant with specialties from our own monastery butchery, goat's cheese from our nearby monastery alp or farm cheese dairy, egg dishes of course from chickens from our own organic farm. In the evening, the chef prepares dishes from neighboring regions as well as delicious Bavarian specialties.

- We really enjoyed our stay at Klosterhof zur Post. The personell was beyond amazing. Everyone was extremely nice, especially our waitress, who renembered our coffee preferences and was really funny. This hotel is perfect for trek up to Wendelstein and there are many beautiful vistas all over the place. Great spot for active vacation.

- Overpriced for the quality of the room. It was oldfashioned and the furniture had seen better days. But maybe the price is just like that in July.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was super and we got the best gluten free bread and muffins during our entire holiday.

A very nice and well-behaved dog was sometimes staying near reception :)The breakfasts are fresh and tasty!The atmosphere of the hotel is great, we also loved the pictures and furniture in shared spaces.For the Silvester-Nacht there was a super nice celebration dinner with live music and dancing.The only tiniest thing that was missing: we really wished there were some Weißwurst for breakfast... :)Otherwise, only positive emotions after our trip! Extra clean facilities and feels like recently renewed. Big rooms and very nice bathroom for the price paid. The breakfast was great and very helpful staff.
