The view from the breakfast room overlooking the beach and the location of the property directly at the sea without a street in between!

Our room was dark (basement) and we would not consider it a sea view room.

Although we had originally booked a room in Le Lichen, due to a cancellation we were offered the villa, Bel Horizon, for a small supplement. All I can say is Wow! What a fabulous property. Right on the sea front with everything you needed.

It does have steps up to the door and inside down to the bedrooms so you do need to be mobile.

The location is stunning. The views are amazing. The owners are accommodating and the terrace lovely. I would love to spend a month there.

The hotel Le Lichen is a magical place. We loved the atmosphere, the wonderful and most helpful staff, having a delicious breakfast looking out to sea…. The hotel is situated on a clifftop with wonderful views of the dunes, the sea and the nearby beach. It boasts a panoramic breakfast room and a very cozy lounge/bar. We only stayed a few days, but we’ll definitely be back - and stay longer next time!

Location on the coast was good. Sea views from the public rooms were good.

There was a constant smell of sewerage in the room which emanated from the shower drain. We thought the trap to the shower had dried out through lack of use but even when we turned the shower on the smell returned. It was worse on our last night and we complained the following morning. The staff member on duty was not interested. We noticed after the room was cleaned the window to the room was left open so we believe the cleaners had also realised there was a problem.

The location is spectacular! Beautiful views of both the expansive Atlantic Ocean and also a quiet cove. It was so lovely to admire the ocean views from the breakfast room. We also enjoyed the outside patio to sit in the sun and read.Breakfast had so many choices!

Our room was on the lower level and it was a little cumbersome to navigate the stairs and the hallway.

We booked a room with an outside patio area. This was under the main building which was nice as you could sit there out of the sun.The location is excellent, right on the headland and just a short walk from the beach.It is easy to find and has ample parking for the number of roomsBreakfast was good.Hosts friendlyHotel is just outside Batz sur Mer which is a nice village with bar/tabac, pizzeria, creperie, shop, boulangerie and nice beach

We loved the location of the hotel with view and access to the beach. All the staff were friendly. The breakfast room had a fabulous view too and made the breakfast all the more delicious.

A beautiful, ideal location overlooking the sea. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The breakfasts were delicious & the bread & fruit were fresh every day. The bar service was also excellent! In addition it was good to have private parking on the premises. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Whilst we chose our garden room when booking, it lacked privacy with people walking by the windows, early morning & at night with outside lights coming on. Next time we would choose the room next door with external entrance & more privacy, or even the top floor with total privacy & views!

Size of the room was reasonably small, but still oke.

I loved the unexpected view from the bedroom window and the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The location was amazing with great walks and a beach right on the door step.The small fridge in the bedroom was very handy. Although we did not use the dining area, the view was amazing from there.

We missed having a kettle in the room with tea bags and coffee that is all really.
